I'm learning mapping myself, although I'm doing the stuff in 3ds Max and Wallworm for better sculpting. Hammers sculpting just sucks if you want boob-smooth terrain.

Would be a nice map for dune racing but besides the map size increase, it needs another urgent change - You need to smoothen out the terrain a bit more so it feels like driving on sand and not on solid rocks. Take a look at gm_rallye for a perfect example of smooth terrain.
