- New Feature: Corpse Locator! Upon death, a beam of light shoots into the sky to help the player locate where they died. Enabled on Official Servers by default. Add bUseCorpseLocator=true to your Game.ini for server use.

If the mod is installed as the top mod the "escape" menu page will include the CasPack mod description. That's one way to check if it is loaded.
Versions indicated below are the current versions I have from Steam updates.
Single player (ARK game, v257.52)
- Deleted all content in SavedArksLocal
- Started a new single-player game with only CasPack added
- Created survivor
- Game played normally, mod also worked
Dedicated server (ARK game distribution, v257.499)
- Deleted all content in SavedArks
- Started dedicated server with command line, only included CasPack mod
- Created survivor
- Game played normally, mod also worked
Dedicated server (ARK dedicated server distribution, v257.54)
- same steps and successful results as above
Perhaps one of the binaries was not updated correctly? Have you tried Verify Integerity of local files? That has worked for me in the past. Also, make sure you do have the latest copy of all mod files installed.
I did find that the "o" key for mod options isn't working on the female player pawn. I'll fix that.
- Freshly installed server
- No profiles/save games added
- Create new survivor
- Only one mod added, this one
Server crashes as soon as you try to login with the brand new survivor.
I can't think of a better test to show that this mod is currently not working. I understand that 257 was a terrible update, loads of mods got affected by it. Steampunk for example. However this one has not yet been fixed.
This 257 update was a painful one on the modding side. WC didn't update the dev kit until well after the game update. So, several mods were broken until their creators could/can find the time to re-work/fix them.
So:
1. I'll try to get a new build of the mod that works with current code released as soon as possible.
2. I'm going to investigate the new functionality for better implementation approaches.
I will try to get item 1 finished this week* and the work on item #2 will follow.
*standard "IRL available time" caveat on stated dates.
The "o" key is in conflict with another mod
So, unfortunately due to requiring custom player pawns, there's not a "clean" way to take an in-progress game and remove the mod. The only approach I could recommend is a manual one -- all players empty all inventory into a storage chest while the mod is loaded. Shut down game and remove the mod. Reload game, don't add any new mods yet. Respawn your player (if needed). Close down server again. Add CasPack (or other mod), then re-start game with new mods and, potentially, re-spawn player again. Then go pick up your stuff.
I haven't tried this full process myself. If anyone does, I'd be curious to know the outcome.
