Ah, wait this is an "old" upload by the looks of it. Pardon, I didn't see that. I guess you did update this... somewhere.

I noticed you said the zero g would be abused if implemented in an earlier comment you posted here. Actually, it's very much possible to just run off the edge of the track the moment you enter the realm and just rocket to the end using the thrusters that you'd normally use to stay on the track. Pardon for the experiment there, just wanted to see how exploitable that was and as it turns out, you can beat the whole track in under a minute if you wanted. So on that note, perhaps a barrier of some kind could be implemented to prevent that. Great track otherwise, it's very faithful to the source material. For the record, I did race the whole track at least once before attempting this and even though it was a bit of a snooze-fest, it was somewhat nostalgic. Good stuff!

@Rallen yes you have to back up into the hyperpod's car slot. It has a gravity trigger to change the speed so it feels like you used it

I don't mean to complain, but does the Hyperpod in the Black Hole work? I've seen a map that does have a working one, but when I backed into it it didn't start. Help?

Playing this track felt like doing meditation. slowly loosing all sense of what is going on untill you forget to turn and fall off. i even began to forget to hold down the keys...

@RadioactivePepsi I do thank you a lot for your constructive criticism. If I were to make this level better than refract should add an animation tool in order to make all the asteroids move at random patterns possibly colliding with each other in so many different possibilities to make this level have more variety into it because in the movie. The asteroids hit the track and each other resulting in the players having to do quick movements all the time. And yes some of the tracks we have very slow turns here and there but that's due to the speed that you're going since I made the gravity triggers in front of every checkpoint is 0.4 still giving the player speed but also at the same time still keep them in control of their cars.

On a more positive note, I do appreciate the sheer size and magnitude of this track. Aesthetically, it's breathtaking, but since I haven't watched Acceleracers I wouldn't actually know how accurate it is. Good re-creation, terrible level.

Rating: C-

(CONTINUED FROM LAST COMMENT)
This would work as a multiplayer track with fifty people or so, and it would be interesting as a Final Destination or Battlefield-esque competitive level purely to test racing skills over jumping and rotating. But as a single-player track (since Distance multiplayer has always had almost no-one hosting servers), it's a snore-fest. It's not difficult or challenging, it's just boring.

Also, re-creation isn't everything. It's nice to be faithful to the source material, but fun comes first. I liked your last Acceleracers levels, I really did. But this one, at least when I tried it, was a travesty.
RadioactivePepsi 5. juni 2016 kl. 11:25
I haven't tried the improvments yet, but based on this track's description I'm probably correct in assuming that it's just cosmetic alterations, and I had such a bad experience on the last track that I have no intent of retrying it and wasting another 20 minutes of my life. I understand that this is a recreation of a movie track, but I don't think I've been as bored with a Distance community track as when playing this level. It is (I'm fairly sure) miles and miles and miles of straight track with gentle turns. It's the Desert Bus of Distance levels: long, featureless, and mind-numbingly dull for the vast majority of its content.

@Glaceon's Magic Parcel™ yeah but the zero g would get abused for flight to the finish. thats theres low g than no g

Personally I think the concept of low/zero gravity should be implemented throughout the entire track, as that proved to be an issue on several occasions and was even why the wormhole shortcut was discovered in the first place.
Alex Chosen  [ophavsmand] 4. juni 2016 kl. 19:57
@Great Joe i do thank you for your critisism. i know a few people may not like the track cause some of the issues. again its supposed to be related to the movie series and trying to follow the source matierial. and there wasn't many obstacles besides the asteroids.

This is way too long and there's not much to keep your interest after the first minute or so. The texture on the rings means that there's no telling what speed you're going at, and because of how wide they are and the way they wind it's difficult to tell how close to the edge you are.

Also, the exit is difficult to find, which makes an already repetitive track even more so.
Meowt 4. juni 2016 kl. 18:25
you out did yourself alex, you honestly did. this level is amazing
I love how you even implimented the black hole into the design of the stage, honestly is great
