For first planet: you need to disable all Landing Ships, so the Landing Port / Starport is still available, when you agree to the emergency calls. The Ships come too frequent if you keep landing permissions open.
Stee Catsee (Last challenge): This one is really hard, you are very short of resources (espacially on metal) and this thunderstorms / meteors are annoying.
Spoiler:
i've done it with the following strategy:
Build a base with following domes:
oxygen gen, canteen, biodome, bar, cabin, sickbay
outside buildings:
solar panel, wind turbine (both biggest), 2x power collector, 1x starport
when the above is done:
ligning rod, 2nd starport, mine, lab, processing planet
now recycled all except 1 transport bots (to get the metal out of those bots)
build landing pad
collect enough resources to build 2nd landing pad and an emergency exit.
Pray
and yes, its still quite hard

But I don't know if this is still the case, I don't play the game since years :)
This was an awesome game and Otto's mod was a welcome sight after finishing the main game. Here's hoping it still works.
I understand: You made a popular challenge, but don't have time anymore to dive into details years after. :-) Fully understandable.
Maybe somebody else knows. For now, I'll stop trying.

I have read though all Q (en sometimes) A in this workshop forum.
The 1000 prestige challenge isn't working for me because it seems not possible to let the Ships in distress (the ones that give prestige) actually land! All my 12 starports are filled 100% of the time with normal visitors. They are overwhelming the starports.
So when a ship in distress is found on the radio, and I give permission, there is no spot to use.
My game version is 3.1.7

Can anybody help? (Or is this campaign made for earlier versions?)
built 20 starports. when a visitor ship lands, I turn off the starport. I had to get 4 o2 generators because most of the time, I have 70 visitors at a time.

What would make this more realistic and even a tad more challenging are things like bathrooms, showers, etc. Believe me, as a former Army Infantryman, showers DO make a difference in morale. So that could be added. I'm sure there's more in the back of my mind but I'm unfortunately disorganized right now and I'm about to start a new, hard Planetbase game. Love it. It's relaxing and that's what this Grunt needs right now.

Q: How is prestige calculated?
Prestige is calculated as the sum of 4 numbers:
Prestige due to buildings (Signposts, Pyramids and Monoliths), up to a maximum of 300 points.
Prestige due to population, up to a maximum of 300 points. You need 300 colonists plus bots to get to the limit.
Prestige due to amount of resources, up to a maximum of 200 points. You need 600 resources to get to the limit, coins don’t count.
Prestige due to tending to distress calls, up to a maximum of 200 points
