@krj12

Just wanted to say: thank you very much. This has satisfied my OCD during my campaigns in LW 2.
KnightOwlToo 28. okt. 2017 kl. 18:23
Wow, I see you added sort by Nickname to the WotC version. As I'm still playing LW2 I wish this version had that! (But beggars can't be choosers!)

Great Mod, thanx for bringing it to us!
Kalarian 8. okt. 2017 kl. 18:16
Can you add sorting by last name and call sign?
Ser Lancelot 8. okt. 2017 kl. 15:57
I'm blind; sorry, thanks!:steamfacepalm:
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. 2017 kl. 15:37
@Kalarian yeah, sorting goes by last/first regardless of display format.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. 2017 kl. 15:35
see link at the top of the description for the WOTC version.
Ser Lancelot 8. okt. 2017 kl. 9:26
Does this work with WotC?
Kalarian 8. okt. 2017 kl. 5:49
Sorting by name sorts by last name even if you display First_Last
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 16. sep. 2017 kl. 15:54
@Krimson The special resistance heroes dont have a nationality, so that is to be expected. I just tried changing a Rookie to a Templar and cant reproduce your issue.

@Panderrific Check out the new WOTC version, you can now sort by class if desired.
Krimson 14. sep. 2017 kl. 15:30
It seems to not work with spark and resistance heroes. If you add one to the pool the nationality is not there, and if you change an existing character in the pool to that class, they get deleted completely.
Panderrific 11. sep. 2017 kl. 6:01
can you add sort by class? would be nice for balancing out my pool
Cynath 10. sep. 2017 kl. 15:06
Hmm, good point, even if it didn't trigger it, I did check the integrity when my game wasn't launching which probably did trigger the download! Thanks man, appreciate the answer and that great QoL mod. Real hard to deal with large CP without it!
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 10. sep. 2017 kl. 14:35
Check your XComEnhancedRecruitmentList.ini and see what the SORT_BY value is set to.
I recently changed the description, which *shouldnt* have triggered a re-download, but who knows.
Cynath 10. sep. 2017 kl. 14:29
Krj, a quick question, I've used your mod since day one of it coming out and it always worked fine but for some reason it stopped working yesterday for me, adding new characters to the bottom of the list instead of sorting them. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
JunkyJuice 1. sep. 2017 kl. 8:12
The issue I was having was that it did nothing. However I found an easy fix. I simply had to enable it. I obviously jumped the gun posting I was having issues, but I guess that just says something about how much I really like this mod posting immediatly. Thank you for such a great mod! Working great! #organizationislife
harlequin565 31. aug. 2017 kl. 23:55
Also working for me.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 31. aug. 2017 kl. 16:25
It still appears to be working for me. What kind of issues are you having?
Note: The yellow icon doesnt necessarily mean it will not work, it just means that it has detected that it was compiled for the original game.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 31. aug. 2017 kl. 14:39
I'll take a look.
JunkyJuice 31. aug. 2017 kl. 10:57
Any Plans to update this for WOTC? Now that I can't use it I really miss it
o_siyeza 29. juli 2017 kl. 11:20
I would love to have a button to see the next previous soldier of the pool, similar to the in game buttons. That would be awesome.
kingts 13. juni 2017 kl. 17:48
Like to see if you could sort by CLASS, but seems you had difficulties with this one
Lobuno 2. maj 2017 kl. 16:04
Finally I managed to get it working, after some edits and reloads. Thanks.
Lobuno 2. maj 2017 kl. 8:20
Not working here. Deleted all config files and only subscribed this mod, edited the ini file, but still characters are not sorted alphabetically.... FIRST-LAST / LAST-FIRST names order works fine... VERY STRANGE!!!
Sharur 11. mar. 2017 kl. 11:54
Is it possible to sort by first name, rather than last name?
ObelixDk 7. juli 2016 kl. 6:05
never mind think i fixed it.. deleted my config folder and reinstalled the mod, and now it works
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 7. juli 2016 kl. 3:32
@ObelisDk Could you provide details? Any new mods since you installed this?
ObelixDk 6. juli 2016 kl. 21:59
it is not working for me now :(
Matikanefukukitaru 2. juli 2016 kl. 13:01
@3D Master: What krj12 says, but only take the stuff from "Steam" onwards as 100%, as the stuff before it is the location of your Steam-Library. (might differ, depending on where you installed it)
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 2. juli 2016 kl. 11:59
Should be somewhere under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\684900176
3D Master 2. juli 2016 kl. 8:30
Even though I'm subscribed and played the game with it; I can't find the ini file anywhere.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 30. juni 2016 kl. 15:12
Appears to still be working ok after the new Shen DLC.
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:59
huh, thanks, now i get it
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:57
look at the URL at the top of each mod page, you should see something like
http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=684900176&tscn=1465656900 ,
The id=<some number> is the mod id number.
All mods go under 268500.
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:55
wha- how am i supposed to know the numbers?
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:53
No, look under Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\684900176\Config
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:49
documents/mygames/xcom2/xcomgame/config, right? the only things under "XCOME..." is "Engine" and "Encyclopedia"...there's "LW_Toolbox" here tho...
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:46
@TheRyderShotgun no, should be there after subscribing.
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 7:43
do i have to run the game before the config file shows up?
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 6:39
Update 6/11/2016: Added INI options to control sorting and name format.
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 6:35
good luck.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 6:22
It does save a timestamp, unfortunately it stores it as an unusable "readable" format, such
as May 8, 2016 - 5:50 PM. This could be parsed, if I make the assumption that no localization formatting is going on - i.e. different formatting occurring in Europe vs the US, which I cant.

I'm working on adding INI values for the name format and whether or not sorting occurs. Won't help with people who have already sorted unfortunately.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 5:21
looking into it... if there's no date created field, then probably not
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 5:20
oh, wait, i get it, the way it's sorted is saved so it stays this way even after technically it sorts by date created.

even so, is there no way to re-sort it? i mean, it re-sorted once i downloaded this mod from date created to last name alphabetical, so there's a way, right?
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 5:13
then can i re-sort it and then save it over that?
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 11. juni 2016 kl. 5:03
From what I've seen, once it's sorted, it's saved that way.
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 5:00
great, for some reason, now it's stuck on sort my last name alphabetical order. how do i change it back to date created?
TheRyderShotgun 11. juni 2016 kl. 0:37
Can you make a version that's just the nationality and class, without putting the last names first and sort by last name?
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2016 kl. 8:42
I tried adding the new buttons, but there was a 10 second display before they rendered. Never could get it to display the text labels either. You're correct that there is some Flash magic going on in the background - which I know zilch about.
Zyxpsilon 22. maj 2016 kl. 8:11
Custom GUI elements are certainly possible but it involves hacking the gfxFlash "structure & components" on top of creating a custom UC script that pulls the gimmicks for processing.
It's quite complex but somehow doable as proven by some other Mods that could exploit a few key principles.
krj12 (Ken)  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2016 kl. 6:53
Looks like the additional gui options are a no-go. I could add an INI value to turn ON/OFF sorting, however it appears that the list order is saved permanently on exit. Once the list is sorted once, it's sorted. Will continue research.
