For those looking for an alternative in leeway of this mods absence I came across these:

I found this to be a near direct replacement of this mod and is the one I personally recommend:

For awhile I used this mod, so figured I'd at least mention it. Personally, I found this mod to be laggier and load intensive compared to the aforementioned, (whether it be when you first launch the game, start a new game save or load a game save) but unlike the mod here, it works:

What sort of specks do you need to actually run those higher settings (especially with things like gigastructures)? Or is a day every 3 seconds the price to pay for overkill, though even then, would it just crash?

Might just be used to potato laptops.

I've got a game going w/ a 4,000 star galaxy. It's been going well, except I've reached a point where I've stopped getting ANY anomalies at all. I've choked-off a big portion of like 100+ systems that I know AI hasn't explored yet, but I'm not getting any anomalies 50 systems into that!

Does this mean that the galaxy is so big that it literally ran out of anomalies, or is that not how those work?

Because if so, I wonder if modding it to make an?omaly generation less likely, it might spread out that experience for longer so they're not all gone by mid-game?

indeed, the event will repeat daily and consist of two windows. But diabling the mod after generation makes it stop

if after generating the map an error with an empty window appears, just turn off the mod. It did its job, it will load again without problems

CAUTION: This mod can cause an infinite amount of empty events to pop up. Guess we'll have to wait for someone to make a patch since the author is not updating.

To find out the error source:


Open the command console and enable debug mode ( debugtooltip ). Then mouse over the OK button on those text boxes. The new tooltip will tell you what the event that created the box is named (formatted something like disstar_event.1001 ). If multiple boxes are appearing at once then check them all, because they might be different events.

Having issues with starting games in my first modded attempt since 4.0, and after some testing I realize its due to this mod - empty events keep popping up and causing freezes every in-game day, eventually crashing around day 4-5. Possibly due to the added event IDs being outdated or pointing to missing locations?

Like tilarium has said I've also noticed that when using the mods sizes the game locks up. My CPU keeps going to 100% down to 70% then repeat this cycle until I manually crash the game. The mod locks up Stellaris so this is no longer compatible as of 4.0

Did a bit more testing and having trouble with 2500 or larger galaxies. It sometimes locks up and it some times loads. I've had no problems with sizes up to 2000. Since I normally play 2k maps, it's not an issue for me, but if you want larger, use at your discretion.

Shapes and sizes should be seperate settings. In this mod These files are not touched.

im using a beefy computer and this mod works amazing i start a 25000 star system with 40 empires it takes a minute to load the first time but after that no issues great mod!!!

@Skullcrusher yes, cosmic storms / stormbound event chain are broken. on nano, the first cosmic storm is fine (or the first few, not sure), but the rest just disappear after one day.

this mod has crash issue in galaxy size setting when starting new game.
if i road old save files already made big galaxy size with this mode, everything works well.
so i think it's new UI crash after AI DLC.
for now, it's impossible to use this mod with new DLCs at all.

Breaks all empires. No empires have teritory or can gain any. Comepletely scews up galaxy generation even on the vanilla sizes

Great mod, playing on a laptop and towards the end a 200 star game it got plenty laggy, 50 or 100 stars should solve all my problems. I keep getting spawn camped at 10 stars, which also sometimes either doesn't spawn all the stars or makes them disconnected.

does anyone else have problems with cosmic storms using this mod, because when i play a normal galaxy size storms seem to work fine, but using bigger size seems to break them.
