Anyway, since the Asimov update has introduced voting for new federation members in vanilla, which was this mod's original purpose, the mod doesn't really do anything at the moment. I still hope to implement some more advanced federation mechanics and events in the future, but my current plan is to wait until the Heinlein patch is released. It seems that Heinlein is planned to change federations even further, so although it could be a while, I think it makes more sense to wait for it and take it from there.
In the meantime, your suggestions for things you'd like to see continue to be very welcome - either here or you can drop by the forum thread linked to in the description above.
I.e.:
-Random diplomatic events that would result in the departure/expulsion of a member
-Shared Federation ethos
-More benefits to join/form a federation
-Possibly for federation members to be integrated, or partly so. I.e. You are stronger than all other federation members combined, so you (player) take over all members, rendering them effectively extinct and a new entity forms from members former worlds, technologies, and fleets. I was thinking this could only happen if all members share 2/3 ethos
