No, they're not even similar at all, Mecha Sonic in Sonic 1 is by Iron Sonic.

Great job. I love the four different playstyles, and Metal Sonic's sprites. I also appreciate you included the Spin Dash. Just one thing, though. There is a similar hack, which has Mecha Sonic in Sonic 1, instead of Metal Sonic. I've seen this hack on youtube and on Sonic Retro, but it does not seem to be on the Steam Workshop. If you are the one who made it, please upload. Just wondering if you made it, because the two seem pretty similar.
