@cheese, its on rooftop on real thing too, crane was moved down on next version which was 882. Btw I have modelled and reworked whole front section for this, I will update it after I finish my new mod project.

Looks okay, crane works like a charm and it doesn't feel half as overpowered as most of the other stuff on the workshop. Great work mate.
I only have one suggestion though: Short logs seem a bit better suited for loading it up, they fit perfectly in the bed length-wise. Medium ones glitch out and go crazy as soon as you drop the load and are somewhat hard to load manually because half the log will be sticking out the back.

This had automatic diff lock on front wheels and drive was by default on rear axles, front axle drive was switched on or off. Engine was 4 cyl (4.2.L) diesel, 77,2kW - 92kW, depends on source. Gearbox was Allison TT2420-1 with 2 forward and 1 reverse speed ranges.

npls i did servide on such a thing 25years ago but it was a Ford !
I dont know the name but it look near similar. Big difference was the Ford has a wide front overhang from the axle. In fact they use a std. Tractor without the front axle. Under the engine and transmission there was a 6mm thick plate going from front to rear axle as a protection. So you can slide on that plate over trees and surface without getting a damage.
Engine was a 4cylTurbo with 90hp or in other model i think the 6 cylinder with 125hp.
normally it drove by only that first axle which had a diff lock too. The 2 trailer axles could be switched on by the driver but they had no diff lock !

Loading logs manually was impossible earlier, load areas were messed up, sorry about that. That is fixed now, I also made custom load slightly bigger.

Korjailin sitä vähän, ei pitäisi olla enää niin herkkä ohjaus.

ohjaus on vähän oudon tuntuinen kun kääntyy yhdellä napin painalluksella tavallaan omapäisesti jonkun matkaa..
