"Hidden mod

The reason given by the author is: Completely broken
Too busy to update, use steam in the mean time."
I sadly cant open those Lootboxes ;/. I find and collect them ingame but it wont appear in my researches. So iam not able to open those boxes. Hope someone can help me with my problem
Also do we need WOTC for this one? I have all DLCs for XCOM2 but am playing regular LW2 for now without WOTC installed.
Right now if you want to dual wield pistols only your secondary slot can have a lootbox pistol and your primary just has to be an default one.
This doesn't seem to be the case for swords - is this intentional? or am I just unlucky?
Important to note for hardcore players however is that while at the earlier stages of the game this mod doesn't do anything game-breaking but as you near the endgame stages while you have been collecting many weapon and armor mods it can make your squad overpowered. This is not a criticism, it is just something that can happen if you collect and equip too many of the more powerful bonuses. Use with caution if you want to preserve the original game's challenging difficulty. Alternatively you could use the mod to make your Commander or higher runs more forgiving.
