The value is there, but it seems to me the values are not correct I often have X+1/X and there is no level up.

It doesn't keep track of accurate kills/xp with wotc i have noticed that the lost are not counted correctly it under and over counts the lost xp

@Harddk grimy has left xcom modding, but left his mods with open permissions to update as long as they credit him. This won't be updated by him, but maybe someone else will make a new file for it.

Hi. This mod adds a small semi-transparent square in the bottom left cornor for WotC. The one above the name here https://i.imgur.com/kWGrF1l.jpg . An update to remove that would be appriciated.

Works with WotC

Checking the Config folder... What's CutOff_Rank?
Greenman 17. feb. 2017 kl. 13:34
How does this work with Wet Work?
Blooest 21. jan. 2017 kl. 19:08
The UI works, at least. You might want to change the cutoff rank in the INI.
Nitewolf 19. jan. 2017 kl. 11:05
Compatibility with LW2?
Muddy1 14. nov. 2016 kl. 18:26
Did not work.
Kunovega 21. aug. 2016 kl. 16:44
Can't figure out why but this mod seems to have disabled the mod Cost Based Ability Colors.

Tried using alternate loader to load Cost Based Ability Colors last, didn't fix it.

Tried disabling all mods except for Cost Based Ability Colors, didnt fix it.

Had to unsub all mods, delete config folder and than resub to each mod one by one (Cost Based Ability Colors first) to figure it out.

I'm now back to using 86 of the previous 87 mods I had loaded, had to leave this one off.

Is this compatible with the LW mods?
Thor of Florida 24. juni 2016 kl. 21:28
I had heard of it, but didn't know how it worked. I was also using the Fucking New Guy mod which had doubled my confusion of this mod when some of my soldiers died.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 24. juni 2016 kl. 15:20
@Thor of Florida
you do know that soldiers get "kill assists" right? just for being on a mission?

The counter shows the sum total experience from kills and kill assists.
The kill counter in the armory only shows kills, not kill assists, unless you have a mod to also show the kill assists.
Thor of Florida 24. juni 2016 kl. 14:28
this was cool at first, but then it got a little out of hand because the game would say the soldier got significantly less kills than the kill counter says. On my last retaliation mission, one of my soldiers got a huge boost on their counter and they did jack squat.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2016 kl. 18:57
@mexi
huh, well i'd start by halflifing your mod load order.

disable half, if it still crashes, disable half of the remaining mods, etc

repeat until you find at least one mod potentially responsible.
mEx-I 20. maj 2016 kl. 18:46
thanx just did it but nothing . i am searching a mod issue , if i load a in mission game the first botton i press ( move , or any other action crash my game )
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2016 kl. 18:14
@mexi
just ctrl-find any lines with "modclassoverride" in it then delete those lines
mEx-I 20. maj 2016 kl. 18:03

[=VF=]-Ray Jefferson 13. maj 2016 kl. 9:13
thanks
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2016 kl. 8:16
@ray jefferson
works in my tests, please remember to refresh your xcomengine.ini before you report any bugs. I've been getting tons of reports from users who just don't realize they NEED to refresh that.

This mod work with new dlc?
malkindav 28. apr. 2016 kl. 4:48
@morioncidiot
Thecounter itself does not subsract. Maybe the game it self will, I guess that I will find it out later
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. 2016 kl. 22:57
@malkin
There should only be one ini file with more than two or so lines of code on it. Shouldnt be hard to find, just google where the workshop folder is.

I believe the counter should subtract the number of needed kills if the soldier was acquired at a higher rank.
malkindav 27. apr. 2016 kl. 13:19
How does the mod deals with a soldier that was given to you with a rank? I have a soldier that I got while she was a captain and on herfirst mission the counter was 0/110. Will she get promoted when she will reach 110 or earlier and she will just need to close the gap batween cap and major?
malkindav 27. apr. 2016 kl. 11:59
in which file shoud I look for substruct assists
GrandPrince 21. mar. 2016 kl. 6:21
I'm reporting crashes as well. I'm on Linux.
kenanthebarbarian 19. mar. 2016 kl. 13:05
It wasn't crashing when I first turned on TacticalXP; that was more just a general question, because this game of mod roulette is DRIVING ME F*CKING CRAY-Z!!!!1

Deep breaths...
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2016 kl. 12:57
oh your game is crashing entirely? Mod overrides won't affect crashes. Patch 1 broke something with mac users though
kenanthebarbarian 19. mar. 2016 kl. 12:47
Not entirely sure what I'm looking for, but when I search "UITacticalHUD_SoldierInfo," yours is the only mod override listed. Is there any file that shows specifically what mods conflict or what causes a crash?
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2016 kl. 23:59
@kenan
definitely some sort of mod conflict. Look at your XComEngine.ini file in your my documents folder, that should tell you which one is conflicting with this mod's overrides.
kenanthebarbarian 18. mar. 2016 kl. 23:32
Couldn't get this to work, either because I'm on Mac (and we still haven't gotten the March 10 game patch), or because it conflicts with another mod (Lifetime Stats, perhaps?). This looks useful, though.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 15. mar. 2016 kl. 6:18
False
Game kNight Plays 15. mar. 2016 kl. 2:59
Are SUBTRACT_ASSISTS = true or false to begin with?
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 9:43
Update: Folded the killcount into the nickname. It looks nicer IMO.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 7:55
@Stagger Lee
I was double counting your starting pool by accident. Should be fixed now.
Stagger Lee 13. mar. 2016 kl. 4:26
I don't understand why my kill counter says 18/12 but I don't have a promotion. Doesn't 18/12 mean I have 18 kills but only 12 are needed?
Whyte One 12. mar. 2016 kl. 21:19
thank you very much.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 21:18
yes they count towards promotions. They don't count as full kills though. The fraction of a kill they count towards, depends on each class.
Whyte One 12. mar. 2016 kl. 21:01
ok can i ask one more....do kill assists actualy count towards promotions or not. I have tried looking this up but gotten several different answers.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 21:00
it should, we don't edit the same mod classes
Whyte One 12. mar. 2016 kl. 20:51
I love this mod idea!!! Thank you for making this!!! I have a quick question. Will this work with the "Numeric Health Display" mod?
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 20:17
shifted the kill count up by 20 pixels, so it doesn't clip with nicknames.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 12:10
before anyone asks, yes this mod correctly accounts for the changes to wetworks from the recent patch.
GrimyBunyip  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 8:40
@Gorey
I added it as an option. Just wasn't my preferred way of visualizing things.
Bistritean 12. mar. 2016 kl. 7:41
Wooo! Been waiting for this kind of mod ever since the game released. Thanks a bunch!
Gutted 12. mar. 2016 kl. 3:21
Looked at your source code. Why not subtract kill assists from the number of kills needed instead of adding them to the number of kills? That way, you know, the number of kills a soldier has is accurate.
Invizigoth 12. mar. 2016 kl. 3:16
Yes. This Mod can be very handy during Missions.:DarkOphelia:
