Is there a mod that does this only for killzone?
Lurmey 29. okt. 2017 kl. 16:21
I agree with MatteCrystal, two buttons please! One for normal overwatch, another for concealed overwatch.
Boge 19. sep. 2017 kl. 11:57
@MatteCrystal, exactly! I want two separate options.
pauloel7 18. sep. 2017 kl. 17:39
Indeed, neat observation.
MatteCrystal 29. aug. 2017 kl. 17:44
I need a second Button, Normal overwatch and conceled overwatch. Everyone making these mods seems to think it should be just one or the other but they're are situations for both.

can you uninstall it mid-campaign?

Is this compatible with LW 2?

@Fennix - Um. You mention having both IESS and Better Advent. Pretty sure those conflict anyway, from what Better Advent says on its mod page. Might be wrong.

Ideally, would have a listener to detect if the target in question has had its pod activated, and to not fire if it doesn't... but those can be a right pain to implement :P

Personally, I like this mod even without it - I consider it an additional tactical choice on whether to simply end turn or prep that overwatch :)

hmmm what about a seperate button for this "absolute over watch" and regular over watch? sometimes you want to be on over watch incase you get spotted.

I don't have any fix available for you, I'm sorry. The enemy AI is something I haven't yet dealt with very much.
Kontrahent 21. mar. 2016 kl. 15:40
thx for the reply! and yes i can confirm, it also occured during the last mission out of concelment! i killed the leader on the alien reveal turn with overwatch and the rest of the pod just stood there :/ any suggestions on how to fix this? are there mods out there? do the devs know about it?

sry. i know it is _not_ related to your mod, but you are the first to give an explenation and my googlefu failed me :/
Divine Lucubration  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2016 kl. 6:26
I don't think that's a mod conflict exactly, Fennix; what you're describing is something I've seen as well. The enemy AI in this game doesn't seem entirely equipped to deal with their leader being killed on their turn.
Kontrahent 21. mar. 2016 kl. 4:55
donnu if it is a mod conflict, but i noticed sometimes the enemy pod wont scamper!
- i put everyone in position and steady weapon!
- then i notice the pod doesnt move anymore (pods will stop patrolling when the player sees the pod while still in concealment)

- i have "Patrol When Revealed" http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=622778878 installed;

- i am waiting 2 turns for up throttling to take effect and overwatch my whole squad but not my scoutranger

-squad kills the enemy on overwatch(the leader). the other 3 enemys then just stand out in the open and dont move at all after the animation played!

- possbile mod conflicts: better advent, patrol even when revealed, IESS, ~70 other mods

anyone noticed the same problem/something like this?
btw i only saw it happen if i am concealed, not if i am not concealed and overwatchtrap

It would be awesome to have Parametric Overwatch button, which then would display dialog with options, like preffered fire action or enable/disable attack from concealment. I don't think SDK gives such freedom though.
Rick95051 16. mar. 2016 kl. 21:34
If you don't want to blow concealment, there's a button called HUNKER DOWN. Use that rather than complaining to Divine.

Okay, I think I understand what you're looking for. Making a new ability is a bit outside of the the scope of this project and I'm not looking to pursue it right now.

The best I can suggest is that with this mod, you can Overwatch your Specialists to let them participate in an ambush but not Overwatch your Ranger so that they stay concealed.
Dev 13. mar. 2016 kl. 15:55
I want to be able to choose whether or not they perform reaction fire. As in, I want maybe one ranger to stay in concealed overwatch, where he doesn't break cover unless he's spotted, and I want my two specialists who got Phantom to participate in the ambush as they normally would. Right now they're pretty useless :/
Divine Lucubration  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2016 kl. 12:09
You're welcome, Beagle!

Yeah, Fennix, there's definitely some unexpected complications or things to consider with the change in mechanics.

Deviathan, I'm not sure I understand the use case that you're presenting here. In the scenario you're describing, do you want your Phantom soldiers to perform reaction fire or not?
Kontrahent 12. mar. 2016 kl. 11:00
thx for this. works great.

one has to be careful with ever vigilant skill though (skill which lets soldiers overwatch after dashing) in concelment!
Dev 12. mar. 2016 kl. 10:35
Is there any chance you could make just a separate overwatch that concealed soldiers can use, so we have the option of whether to stay in concealment or not? My main issue is that when soldiers pick up something like Phantom from the AWC, they're completely useless in ambushes. This happened to two of my A-team specialists in my current run :(
Beagle 11. mar. 2016 kl. 23:34
Thanks again for this!
