I don't think it has anything to do with this mod, sounds more like an issue with the way workshop handles addons. I haven't had this issue but I don't use the workshop to install my mods, so I really don't know. I would try unsubscribing from this mod, and installing the vpk manually.

If you don't know how to do that you just extract the .vpk from the .zip into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons

I used this mod since day one of playing, but suddenly today when my addons were loading, it showed this mod either updating or re-installing? Once it finished it crashed my game, trying to start the game again, it comes to the main menu but when loading addons it instantly freezes and crashes the game everytime.

the only thing that gives me bad nostalgia chills more, is the game over music from megaman legends... just knowing that you had to start the confusing ruins over... that you have to go through it all over again... back then it could bring out those misty frustration eyes...

you should make the death music from one of the games for when you get killed... the 8 bit one, or the annoying tune in oot where you fall to your knees and slump over dead... (i thought i had one fairy left, the fk?!)
