I have always wanted a grave or sarcophagus, best misc mod I have seen, but could you also make a sarcophagus?
Tom7i 26. juni 2016 kl. 11:46
Hey there, thanks for making this! I'm also a bit bummed out that such a thing was left out of 1.0, but hopefully it will be looked at and added in the main game in the future. Until then, i'll use your mod :)
1stReaper 22. mar. 2016 kl. 4:30
ah i see.
guess it was just one of thoses that was forgotten about, to make space for the mort important stuff ?

@1stReaper: Found mention of Tombs on the Military page of the wiki, but that update was made Dec 4th, 2014 when the Roadmap (which included Magic and Alchemy in addition to tombs) was still available on the Website. When RoboB0b announced he was transitioning the game from Beta to 1.0 he said there was no plan to add new content, which is why he removed the roadmap from the site, though he also said if he had time he would look to add new content to the game but not any time soon.

if you look on the wiki, it stats that "tombs will be added"
cant remember where i saw it tho, thing it was in the designation zones page regarding the body parts <shugs>

@LittleMikey No clue why the game was released out of early acess without vital content such as this.
LittleMikey 6. mar. 2016 kl. 20:39
No clue why something like this isn't in the base game. Good work!
1stReaper 3. mar. 2016 kl. 8:02
even if your lucky enough to never have one gnome die Xd
you can still use it for the aesthetics =)
(hell use gobline corpses if you have to :P)

i've got a small "raider camp" looking place at the corner of my map
(empty ofc) thats got piles of skulls there XD)

(makes the roleplay seem like my city is being watched by bandits working out the best time to attack)

I am a little sad that I am going to be putting this to use... But hey, everyone has to go some time. Thanks for the work on putting this together. :steamhappy:

@daniel -
we didn't take it that way :)
just thought i'd let ya know thats anyone can use graves :P

its prob a little over the top :P,
but because i'd like to try set up a sort of standing guard point :p...
im thinking of making a load of squads (mostly with one soldier each)
that way i can have a guard standing at each side of my main gate, 2 archers stations on the roofs, 1 or 2 guards station at the entrace of my throne room :P and some guards inside it :P

and the main squads petrol the city, and have an army set on standby in a sort of barracks
training all day and all night >:D till the goblin kingdom wants to start a war lmao

...speaking of training does the training dummies actually rise your skills ?
as i've noticed my commander has had 30 sword,,, and still had 30 sword even 2 years into the game :S
1stReaper 3. mar. 2016 kl. 2:13

inregards to the axe
----
@Dwalers + Tac
<cough> ;) you know whats coming lmao

is their any chance of getting a sword, shield, hammer?.... basically the weapons of gnomoria as the icon on the grave ?

the firearms would be cool too,, altho chances are they might be a little hard to deal with

This is turning out to be such a great little mod!

I simply though the idea of christinan gnomes to be funny, that was the only reason for my remark. I did not mean to create any sort of fuss, let alone to complain, so everyone pls appologize me if that is the way it was interpreted. And indeed I agree that a cross in a tombstone is the most easily recognizable grave symbol extant. I have many times myself created gnomish villages with churches, asorted temples, and I once even made them a masonic lodge (just for the sake of being creative). I even set the place as a guard area and assigned several of them to a squad, just to see them "congregating" there once a day.

Mere 24hrs after my comment, an alternative (a tombstone with an axe!) was already implemented, so double-cheers for Tacyn! Many thanks.
1stReaper 2. mar. 2016 kl. 12:51
sweet :D

im curious to see how badass this mods going to get with you 2 teamed up :P
i might beable to build a church-ish looking building and having a "REAL" graveyard for all my fallen gnomes instead of just recycleing them for spare parts <evil laugh>
Dwalers 2. mar. 2016 kl. 10:38
@1stReaper i can modifie almost anything to have a diferent apearance but it'll be named after the default item, for example before i saw this mod i changes the statu into a cross for a graveyard, but it was named statu anyway, making new tiles is not that hard but to get them in is above my knolage, so i hope Tacyn can be the mising lin in that progress, will try to got your celtic cross on a slab
1stReaper 2. mar. 2016 kl. 9:33
thats why i added the "dwalers + tac" bit
with hope that he could do the sprites and you could add them.

but shame to not being able to add the celtric-ish style crosses

ah well :) was worth a try asking =)

is it possible to get a version of the tombstone standing up?
Tacyn  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2016 kl. 8:35
sprites are generally only 32x32 pixels, so you can't really do more than stylised/cartoonish stuff.
Also, I generally don't make new sprites. Anything I've done is slight modifications to existing sprites.
'Le Pootis 2. mar. 2016 kl. 5:59
Hey this looks very nice, I plan on using it, good job!
1stReaper 2. mar. 2016 kl. 5:55
@Dwalers + Tac
i might be asking way to much due to the detail and such.
but would you be able to add this to the mod ?... or similier

http://www.celtarts.com/images/Liturgical/bronze-cross-frontB.jpg

Thanks
if not, no worries :) , you never know unless you ask
Dwalers 2. mar. 2016 kl. 5:48
thank you, i'll go work on a few gravestones
Tacyn  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2016 kl. 23:02
floor tiles are 32x20.
You can find examples on existing tilesheets.
For example, \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Gnomoria\Mod Files\Sprites is the location of the default sprites.
Dwalers 1. mar. 2016 kl. 15:21
if you could tell me te resolution of a tile i would make you a few models, i send a friend reqeust to make comunication easier
Tacyn  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2016 kl. 8:55
The cross is just easily recognizable at such a low pixel count.
If you make alternative sprites, I could add those.
1stReaper 1. mar. 2016 kl. 8:37
=/
dont have to be christian to put a grave
hell nords used to send their dead out to sea and set it on fire..
(opps bad example lol :P)

some people who aren't christian have placed the bodies under a piler of stones,
others stuck something their owned their

for example
in the olden days fallen soldiers would have their weapon stuck into the ground

placeing graves aren't actually a sure fire christian thing is what im trying to say lol
im not chrisitan but when i was a little kid i buried my pets in the garden and placed a little painted stone onto of it
danielprates 1. mar. 2016 kl. 8:05
HEHEHE there is a cross there in the tombstone. Are the gnomes christian? That's a curious idea!
Tacyn  [ophavsmand] 29. feb. 2016 kl. 13:02
After choosing a base mod, double click on 'Grave' under available mods.
You'll find the grave as an option in the replace floor job and the grave under furniture
Jay_Do 29. feb. 2016 kl. 12:36
This will help keep down the zombies when people get infected too!
danielprates 29. feb. 2016 kl. 11:35
Post a screenshot of how the actua grave looks like, so that this page is more complete!

Congrats. This is a mod long overdue. I myself always created symbolic graveyards to sort-of bury my gnomes, but it was a makeshift thing. Now it can actually be done!
No Ice 29. feb. 2016 kl. 11:33
FINALLY
Dylithian 27. feb. 2016 kl. 15:16
This is a cool little mod that filled a gap I didn't know bugged me. Keep making mods Tacyn, your mods are great!
