so i have not played goat sim in 6 months and my best goats (super saiyan goat) got deleted and i need help so what do i do?

@Filip: I don't think this mod could be related to that though... It only has a bad effect on the Steam overlay.

@rpayne43: Okay so you may have ran into the same issue as Blixerek did :/ Sadly I don't think there is much I can do about it, except consider this mod broken until Steam eventually fixes their API.

i disabled the steam overlay today it fixed but the weird thing is when a tried it a day before it closed steam

and now when i open goat simulator it still does that

when i used this mod steam kept opening and closing

I just deleted the overlay's data via properties and turned it off and on!

@Geneosis This didin't help, I think Controls Helper broke my game too (it sometimes minimalizes)

@Blixerek: As for your current broken overlay, is it still broken after restarting Steam completely (using quit)?

@Blixerek: Hmm the steam overlay changed a lot recently... So maybe the API used by this mod is no longer comptible with it? If so there is not much I can do about it as Goat Sim won't be updating its API version anyway... You can try to report this as a Steam issue: It is their job to make sure their overlay won't break when receiving old API calls I believe. In the meantime I will add a warning message for future users to warn them aboit this issue, thanks for reporting it here :)

This mod messed up with my Steam Overlay. Even when deleting the mod, reinstalling the game, and verifying the game files didn't help at all, it just doesn't show up anymore, just the cursor appears and can be moved freely, but the overlay isn't working anymore :(

@Gamer Axolotl: did you hold down the "back", "left" and "right" keys for about 10 seconds with this mutator equipped? If you did you should at least see the steam overlay popping. If anything doesn't work after that then yeah maybe steam messed up their API once again and this mod is broken again as a result...

and if you cant fix it when i learn to code i might copy this and fix it

@JackqueMartin: Exactly :) The idea is: controls are usually written in mod descriptions, so if you can't remember them, this mod will open mod descriptions for you ^^

geneosis so this is just a way to open workshop?

@davelowther56: Did you try to move that page? Pages use to stack on top of each other and be perfectly aligned so you can't see them if you don't move them X)

it only opens one mod page but i still love the mod :;p

@JackqueMartin: Well this mod was quite experimental and was only a shortcut to open the workshop pages of the mods you are using. Which part is not working, so you see the steam overlay appear after holding the keyt for some seconds?

So yeah, good news is: I can reproduce the issue on my computer :D Bad news is I have no idea why this happening, so I have no clue how to fix it :/
The URL I send to steam worls perfectly if I copy paste it in the steam browser manually, but for some reason sending it automatically through the game code lead to this empty page...

So this might be a problem on the steam borwser side and unless it's fixed this mod will not work, if it's not that, then I have no idea how to fix it so I will mark this mod as broken for now.

@ZΛRΘW: That's not good :/ I didn't test this mod in a while, I will check if it's still working as intended.

@Geneosis i have figured it out, didnt know i had to hold asd for like 2 seconds, but then when the workshop opened it just took me to a really weird link that lead to a nonexisting website, i was using it together with ninja goat mutator

@ZΛRΘW: They are ASD if you use a QWERTY keyboard layout, but they might be different for others, that's why I could not write them down directly in the controls :)
Then about this mod behavior, first of all did you select it in your mutator list? And then what other mods were you using with it?

what are those controls? left back right? so u mean A+S+D? im pressing those and nothing happens, i also try the arrows and nothing happens. what the fcuk do you mean explain please. i think i need a controls helper for ur controls helper

@BabyPuffer: Well then of course it didn't work, this mod is here to display the workshop pages of other mods in case you forgot how to use them X) Maybe read the description of mods before installing them and claim that they are not working next time ^^

i was not using any mod else only this one and i pressed the same buttons but it did not work

@nlhunter: I don't think the solution have anything to do with Python sorry :) It's more about the steam browser having strange behavior and me not being able to change it because it's not part of the game itself, but part of steam ^^

you might need to use python coding to make the mods apear in tabs not windows

@TackyLeek: Well, the problem with those keys is: Depending on your keyboard layout, they will be [A]+[S]+[D] or [Q]+[S]+[D] or whatever key combination from keyboards of all countries in the world ^^ This is why I decided to use a generic way to designate those keys using directions.

NOTE TO OTHERS: WHAT HE MEANS BY LEFT+BACK+RIGHT IS THE DIRECTIONS THAT YOU MOVE IN(i.e. I would hold A+S+D)(I only wrote this in caps so it could be spotted. I recommend you put that in the description)

@mf79: I have no idea :/ All I know is that it's working on my own computer... Maybe try to hold the keys even longer if it's laggy?

Hold on, does it not work when its really laggy beacuse on my computer it's quite laggy all the time on my pc

I keep trying it with differnt mods and sometimes the same but it doesn't work
