Great building !
wooze 13. jan. 2018 kl. 16:53
It looks to have the same facade as the World Trade Centre 6.
johan.eusoff 26. nov. 2017 kl. 12:14
A great building to fill up my downtown! By the way, what is that long row building on the left in the first screenshot?
Realname 5. okt. 2017 kl. 19:25
Old but gold. Still one of the best offices which fit in nearly any theme.
SnakesRaven 31. mar. 2017 kl. 8:14
Great job, this is a beauty!
creepyeyes 6. okt. 2016 kl. 0:43
Any chance we'll see more of these! I love this style, I'd love to have more than two in my city!

Thanks for adding RICO support :)
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2016 kl. 11:16
Ploppable RICO , a mod with which Unique Buildings can get Residential/Industrial/Commercial/Office. In other words they can then work just like growables!

Not many buildings are enabled as of yet, but I'm doing my part by at least switching it on for my medium-sized buildings...
Igor 1. mar. 2016 kl. 11:13
what it is "RICO"?
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2016 kl. 10:47
Done.
Tarzanax 21. feb. 2016 kl. 15:11
No problem. I have pantience. Thanks for the work.
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 15:10
All right, RICO seems to work, but like I said I want to test it out a bit and balance my employment numbers against the base game at least!
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 14:44
Getting an error right now but AJ3D is in-game and on chat! Reply AJ, reply!
Tarzanax 21. feb. 2016 kl. 14:42
Hahaha what a coincidence. Good luck and I look forward to the result!
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 14:31
Dude I'm trying it out for the first time right now haha, if it works, let me see how it holds up for a couple of days though!
Tarzanax 21. feb. 2016 kl. 14:24
Looks amazing! Are you still going to update the asset to make it work with ploppable RICO?
kawa 3. feb. 2016 kl. 14:20
thx fam i will look forward for that
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 3. feb. 2016 kl. 14:18
It's supposed to have employees, it's right there in the stats, but without tourists I don't think people enter the building =/

Waiting for RICO's tools to become available so I can make it function as a regular office building! Meanwhile, I'll look into adding a small amount of tourism.
kawa 3. feb. 2016 kl. 14:16
Thank you for your amazing work. By the way can you make it work as tourism spot? it has completly no employees nor visitors.
XHunterX 2. feb. 2016 kl. 5:17
TOP ;)
sag032 1. feb. 2016 kl. 15:52
I have no problems with unique buildings and 100+ is not my goal ;)

Looking forward with what you can add to the office collection.
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2016 kl. 8:07
I'm thinking about all those things, and mostly on how to make them work withing the current zoning system. But, I've never done growables before and don't really have a feel for what's the right size/stats for the right level.

A taller unique is probably easier in this case, since I can slap on the extra floors no problem and just try something different for the roof. The thing is though, there's no shortage of 100m+ skyscrapers on the workshop, even broadly in this style.

In any case, life's gotten a lot busier for me from this week onward so I'm definitely not going to be putting three buildings on the workshop inside six days like last week -_-
sag032 1. feb. 2016 kl. 7:05
Love this (and the smaller) asset. Have used it on my airport plot.

I would love to see more types (slightly taller and lower, different sizes, corner buildings ?).
sterkam5 31. jan. 2016 kl. 19:33
this is great - excellent work!
sacha_neuage 31. jan. 2016 kl. 18:01
Great, even better!
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 31. jan. 2016 kl. 17:41
It's not a zonable building! It's a level 0 (landmark) unique 6x4 asset.

I'm planning on adding (a) growable version(s) later, but to me it felt like initially at least the game could really use some more mid-sized uniques. Hopefully I can add meaningful gameplay effects to these uniques (lvl 3-type office employment) through the RICO mod soon!
sacha_neuage 31. jan. 2016 kl. 17:28
Is this level 3. Great building i just hate waiting for things to leval up in the downtown area when i want to make a big city
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 31. jan. 2016 kl. 16:39
This one's got tourism set to zero so yeah, I guess people visit it cause it's a unique (and supposed to have workers in it).
DDP 31. jan. 2016 kl. 15:50
Is this supposed to get any visitors? Or is that just because it's a unique building?

Nice job on this btw.
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 31. jan. 2016 kl. 13:29
Honestly, I don't think the devs are going to change the growables system; it'd mess up all the lot size calculations of their current assets.

Maybe modders could do it eventually, but not with the current tools AFAIK.
icantthinkofaname 31. jan. 2016 kl. 13:26
i see. hopefully they can expand that limit some time soon! Also, it looks amazing!
AHT 31. jan. 2016 kl. 6:27
Cool House! :D
kman10001bd 30. jan. 2016 kl. 16:19
Reminds me of buildings 4, 5, & 6 of the old WTC complex. Just a little bit. Nice mod!
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2016 kl. 15:55
They won't be growable, since the game's 4x4 maximum lot size is proving hard to crack, but yes (hopefully) through RICO these buildings will provide plenty of regular office jobs.
icantthinkofaname 30. jan. 2016 kl. 15:40
Do you think you could make this and the larger version a regular office building?
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2016 kl. 12:45
Not yet, but I'll add RICO functionality as soon as AJ3D & co hammer out the XML asset implementation.
Zake 30. jan. 2016 kl. 12:19
These are fantastic, a handful more of these and I might be tempted to make whole custom office blocks! I'm curious, do people work at these?
✠Piezziek✠ 30. jan. 2016 kl. 3:40
nice job dude
Franz-Würstchen-Kolben 30. jan. 2016 kl. 3:03

I love this systeme <3 Great job :D againt plz ^^
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2016 kl. 4:58
@Spec. Tater: that'd be great, though I'd like to keep non-vanilla prop dependency down to zero. People are having trouble keeping their downloads and loading times in check as it is haha.

Great ideas on the street level experience as well, but IMO for this building they're kind of moot: the ground floor is a 'mechanical' floor here! It's a pretty huge shortcut for me to take haha, no more having to think about what kind of stuff is going on behind those tall windows, but with this setup it works out pretty well.

I'll show you what I mean based on my WIP double-height version [i.imgur.com]: current building in the back, 11 floors, has its single (reduced-footprint) mechanical floor on ground level. New WIP tower, double the height, has them on ground level and on the 21st (top) floor, neatly simulating the need for more heating, ventilation, AC, pumping, etc.

So.... a shortcut :)

Spec. Tater 27. jan. 2016 kl. 23:36
Alternate props: extra roof antennae and access doorways, a satellite dish?

I saw someone had an idea a while ago for semi-random street-level "billboards" that would mimic shop windows in the front of buildings. A larger hut or kiosk on the sidewalk level promenade here for newsstand or hot dogs would break it up.
MadCat3D 27. jan. 2016 kl. 17:32
Love it, once again a perfect "filler" building. Definitely need some versions with more floors. Can't wait to see what's next.
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2016 kl. 16:30
Color variations: yes, a little bit of thought but I'm really unsure.

Prop randomization? Like with the doohickeys that can place either of the ACs, logos, those things? With this building prop placement feel pretty 'set', but I could always work it in with the next ones. Great tip!
Judazzz 27. jan. 2016 kl. 16:24
Yeah, PPG Place is a riot (the good way)!

I gave this one a nice little spot in my city, and that made me think: have you considered color variations or prop randomization? Because this building is a perfect example of a Not So Unique Building (tm)
Koesj  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2016 kl. 16:11
luckily I had some breathing room there (ask me about where the filesize comes from haha) but it was incessant finnicking around with the facade heightmap, nightlights, and most of all the frickin window diffuse that ate up all my time :steambored:
