The extra flair to the draw animation is purely aesthetic. If you hold/press the fire key during the draw animation, the draw animation will break early and go into the attack animation. As for the look of the weapon, I'd might add a bit of specular flare to it to give a more metallic sheen. But honestly it kinda looks like it's made of paper even in the show.

Great Idea!
The Problem Is That The Sword Looks Like Paper, And I Know You Ripped This Weapon From Grimm Eclipse But Maybe If You Would Spent Some Time Making It Look A Bit More Realistic
And I've Seen Some Bugs Like The Extra Swing With The Katana?

I'm glad this replaces the Katana and not the Machete. Would have been a problem for me.

I'm not sure what causes this, but I'm pretty sure the mod here is to blame. When switching to the katana, it adds an extra swing animation that doesn't actually do anything. I love how the katana looks here, you did a really wonderful job with it, but I can't use it without being slowed down by an extra swing. If this is a problem with the mod, I greatly hope it can be fixed so I can once again use it. If it's something wrong on my end, I have no idea what would be causing it. It doesn't do it with my other katana mod..
