Placing frames as you float down the mineshaft, then welding them as you climb back up, is certainly convenient.

Absolutely awesome. Love that you can stand on a ladder, add a new block, then add a ladder to that.

is there any way to extend the length of the retractable ladder past one large-grid block?

This is still the best ladder mod, and also, the best mod, period, for space engineers.

Coming back to this mod just for the retractable ladder... just couldn't jump high enough to grab the normal ladder nor want to add one more ladder that would possibly get destroyed on terrain for the massive rover... so there it is xD

Thanks for creating this! Would it be possible to add the same functionality to the passenger seat so that you could have a drop ship where someone can use a handheld weapon while seated? Sort of like a door gunner.

Great mod. I like the fact you can jump from one ladder to another in zero G. That is very ralistic copmared to vanila that you are in flightseat just going up and down.

Animations? meh they are always buggy

Half-Life, CounterStrike, Team Fortress have none and nobody ever care about that.

Would love to see offset variants of this, like ladders that are to the side as opposed to in the middle of the block. Would that be easy to make?

Same I said in build info, your server is missing the texture and it doesn't really matter since DS doesn't render anything.

Would it be possible to make a mod that allows you to hold and use tools on the vanilla ladder? Not that I don't enjoy sprinting up and down yours, of course...

not sure if this is intentional but as this currently is it is brilliantly balanced, the ingame ladder allows you to grip it from farther allowing for a more simple solution to actually getting onto your vehicle whereas these allow you to use tools, look around, and climb quicker (ftw, I am aware that the tool usage part is intentional, I mean, it says it in the title, but specifically I am talking about how its not just a overall better ladder than the original, providing a nice bit of balance and still giving the in game one relevance so I just wanted to give my kudos to the dev)

Dependencies are automatically retrieved, and in new games are placed the same as for existing games, the mods button.

also you can "sprint" up these and as far as i could see you cant on the new "vanilla" ones so i still greatly prefer these.

only thing i would want more form this would probably be some sort of activatable hatch to keep different sections isolated and airtight in the event of a breach or otherwise. im currently using another mod's hatches which are great but can be a pain to get up sometimes (esp if at an angle, they push me off the ladder and back down the hatch)

make adjustable length, climbable ropes (preferably with ragdoll physics)
there could also be rope launchers as an in-game tool for ships to use for docking, towing, or to stop other ships from spinning
also you could use it to make elevators and cranes

that would that be the most useful thing ever
but for ships tool only, because having it as a hand tool would be OP

also is there any way to make it so you can add more lengths to the retractable ladder
i find it a little too short in some cases
i'm thinking you could craft a 2 retractables to make a 2-block long, retractable ladder
3 for 3 blocks etc.

This is better than the Keen Ladders we have waited for.

I have two hands, one for ladder, one for the Welder, Grinder, tool, I am working with.

Keen should have learned from you, Digi, Animations are awesome but Functions are Epic.
Give us the ladders an Engineer Needs, Not the ladders a park ranger needs.,

I still prefer your ladder Digi! I like to sidestep onto platforms or keep climbing to the next one. :)

Out of curiosity; Will you be updating the models to fit more with the new ladders?
