Great models! However, I don't see the information for the Custodes Oberon Class Battleship. Would I just use the information for the normal Oberon Battleship or am I just blind and can't find it.

Howdy, I've used these models before and they were amazing. However I've run into a small problem. Many of the models won't load or their textures won't. currently only a small percentage of the models that load both their model and textures. If anyone knows how to fix this let me know. (If further information is needed i'll provide it).

Hey, all! Newly subscribed to this. In fact, I'm brand spanking new to the whole Steam Workshop thing. I have no clue what this is about, but I was hoping that this was a playable version of BFG in Tabletop Simulator. Is this the case?

If so, would anyone be so kind as to tell me how to get it to work?

A suggestion for your developement, do you have a trello account? You can use that to show everyone your progress on the models and future projects.

If you do not want to use it, whatever your reasons it's understandable.

Hey Vex, cheers, Eldar are indeed planned. No solid deadline yet, but expect to see them by the end of the month. Ideally I'll eventually have model sets for each major race, and perhaps some minor ones too.

Hey Imperator, these are just, Awesome, a couple of friends and ihave recently started playing BFG on tabletop, and i was wondering, whats the chances of getting a couple of Eldar ships?


One of my friends is leaning towards playing Eldar/Dark Eldar primarily, so i thought it couldnt hurt to ask/check, since we've already got ships for everyone except Eldar/Deldar and Necrons (*Internal Screaming at the Necron ships on Tabletop*)

Heya, I'm working with a group and we're wondering if you'd let us use your models/texutres with full credit of course, in our Stellaris mod.

A lot of people have been asking for them, it seems less texture detail the better, because some like to have it that way I guess.

The Gloriana's are missing the polygons along the keel because I had to trim the file size down for Tabletop Sim to accept them, so that was the compromise :P

ah ok, have actualy managed to get most ingame at this point. it seems the Gloriana's are all missing the bottom of the ship though, ill see if i can maybe fix that myself.

im currently waiting for a update for stellaris before releasing them. ill probs need to look at the textures aswell.

They were made in 3ds max, i'm surprised they won't open in Maya seeing as they're both Autodesk products.

Yeah, I got reports of rat's nests in most of the models when I was exporting them. They didn't become an issue in Tabletop Sim so i wasn't concerned with getting rid of them, I'm not sure if they'll cause a problem in other engines. They weren't made efficiently, I just wanted to get them out as fast as possible.

@Imperator Vegetarius Thanks for uploading them in maya, sadly alot of the .obj wont be opened in maya, its gives an error message when i try to.

I can however open them in 3d object converter, and it tells me some of the models have bad polygons. is this the same on your side? or is the downbload corrupted?

They are indeed .obj files. In case you're thinking of retexturing them, Fair warning: their UV maps are pretty much unworkable, I used block colours so I wouldn't have to put much effort into mapping them and as such they're basic and lazy, except for the symobls on the prows which obviously had to line up correctly.

Hey Cherrybomb67, I've just updated the collision models for all ships, in most cases they don't extend beyond the base of each model. Apologies for the late reply and update, i've been busy with other projects, one of which should be ready for Workshop in a few weeks.

In regard to the measurement and table size issue, I uploaded a custom Deep Space Gaming Table several months ago that is much larger than the tables provided in TTS and provides more than enough space to use the measurements in the BFG rules even in inches.

Hey imperator Vegetarius, just wanted to say i made the other battle fleet gothic mod, but dont have time to continue it. If you want you can use the modles i made for the tyranids eldar and necrons. There not great but there ok for place holders

Tabletop uses inches, battlefleet uses cm either divide all battlefleet movement by 2.5 or use a cm ruler. Would really like to see Berserker add the ability to switch to metric

Update on my comment from before; I've now edited the models you used, both in this file and the Ork fleet, to be half the size of the origional, which means that you should be able to play the game on the large custom table. If you want them the size you had them in the origional mod post, all you have to do is upscale three times. Large enough for display, but small enough to play, along with new collission meshes so you can place blast markers appropriately.

So, I've been toying around with the mod (Play/skinning) and I had a few suggestions.

First, a simple circular obj for the collider, no bigger than the base of the ships, for the sake of eliminating the annoying rectangular auto-generated one. This would allow even large ships to have base-to-base contact without having collision issues where there doesn't need to be.

Secondly, unfortunately it's hard to get a big enough play area in TTS to work, so I was curious if there was any way for you to shrink them down a bit so that the distances would work on the normal size table. It seems that it'd be better to have the actual models a bit smaller and use TTS's function enlarge them, because as of now you can get them much bigger than needed.

(I have no real experience with 3d modeling, so I'm not sure how much work shrinking them would be. I do use Photoshop to preview the models however, and do my painting somewhat. I have a couple other questions but hit the character cap.)
