The quadcopter keeps on breaking at random hinges whenever i try to pilot it, why is this? Hopefully you can fix this.

Broken by 0.3 updates???

@Knoxefeller
I have wheels inside the rotors that give them more or less speed if you press X or Z which therefore adjusts its altitude.
FroggyNonsenze 2 apr 2016 om 17:32
How do you regulate the vertical flight? In order words, why doesn't it just take off without control?

@h.almassari
All my creations work without mods if nothing else is stated in the description. :)

works without mods?
let me know :D

@ChargedRain71 - If it's laggy, your computer's too weak. :P Works just fine for me!

Neutex, I was wondering if the whole Battlebots series would be continuing, and if you and other players would participate. I also wanted to know if you'd be putting your bots up for downloading.

A bit to laggy but great! :)

I sure could

neutex this machine got me thinking, can u use the mod and that catapult joint and make car wheels with it?

@Neutex I know, but i would like to see someone make the best thing ever, without mods, but anyways, good machine

Draegast'd?

@home_made_van
I guess. Starting a discussion topic of this in my group.
Vanlombardi 9 jan 2016 om 6:23
I've just realized that the problem is that some wheels, where I placed the rotors, gains more torque than the rest, causing them to move at different speeds and therefore making the machine unstable. Guess It'd be nice to have flat wheels that behaved as the steering block.
Vanlombardi 9 jan 2016 om 6:13
@Neutex

Ok, I think I got something here. I've just made 2 rotors that are very stable. Then I copied them with editor+ and tested tthem. So, although the fact that they are absolutely the same, the copied one leans to one of its sides.
This seems to prove that propellers are somehow bugged.
Neutex  [auteur] 9 jan 2016 om 4:48
@Captain. noScoPeZ
Ofc people can, but you obviously can't achieve the same things without mods. It's a sandbox game with restrictions so mods to remove the restrictions may be nessecary to reach its full potential.
Cosmiс 9 jan 2016 om 2:59
I kinda feel like, noone can make a machine without mods anymore
Neutex  [auteur] 8 jan 2016 om 17:08
@home_made_van
I don't FULLY understand the aerodynamixs of this game, but I have a hunch on how to arrange the rotors to give the machine better stability.
If you're referring to the rotors on my guide, I can't guarantee that they're a complete solution for making an autostabilizing aircraft.

What I DO know is:
1. Rotors that are tilted more vertically will make the machine stabilize when falling.
2. a double stacked rotor counters the generated torque of itself and make the machine more stable in general.
3. a \/ shaped formation is more auto stablizing than an /\ shaped formation of the rotors.

The rest is just testing, over and over again.

Also, this is not an autostabilizing copter. Draegast claimed that it was, but it isn't.
Vanlombardi 8 jan 2016 om 16:24
@Neutex
I need to ask you if you fully understand how propellers phishycs works in this game.

I'm asking this becasuse I see that you didn't rotate them in order to turn them into auto-stabilizing rotors on this machine and I'm having problems trying to make something quite similar to my alien crane but I just can't manage to make it as stable as I want.

That makes me thing that you tried to do auto-stabilizing rotors but they didn't work for an unknown reason on this machine.

coooooool
Neutex  [auteur] 5 jan 2016 om 14:46
@UltimateFate
No need for Yaw, just Roll and Pitch at the same time. I couldn't make a Yaw system without ruining the design, but it's not nessecary for flying.
UltimateFate 5 jan 2016 om 13:01
isn't it missing rotation ?
Neutex  [auteur] 5 jan 2016 om 12:16
@brominator
It is, but it has strong rotors
Sir (Alcool)on de la Gaule 5 jan 2016 om 11:18
