Actually it was based off of the DC-15S people get it messed up a lot the DC-15A is the big blaster not the small one.

Uh, this looks like a Type E-11 Mk. 1, which only really takes power cells, to the best of my uderstanding. Anyways, why use non-regulation ammunition; It is more prone to failure and if you are a stormtrooper, you can get in trouble with your C.O. (Commanding Officer) because you are using non-regulation ammunition.
