first, when you hold the space bar to dig, he just get stuck in the "pre-dig" position. so you can only dig by pressing space bar then release it immediatelly. Also, you could make some action possible, like sleeping, healing himself with spider egg, maybe chopping little trees. But you mod is a good idea, I like it. Also, it happenned to mo only once, but the space bar and the F button action are considered the same, so while I was attacking spiders with the F button, the doggy took some time to take a loot on the ground, maybe you could fix it, but it's not THAT much important.
He is underpowered as hell. This mod is really good and refreshing concept.
My ideal rebalance would be this:
Night vision, this will overall improve the utility of Woge and wont reduce him to a burdan late game and keep his usefulness.
You got something here thats amazing, I would hate for you to squander it.
-No CRAFTING, no object using
-No mining, no logging
-Unable to use wormholes
-Only eats meat
Personally, he would be better if he had a little food drain, or a really faster attack animation, or if sleeping was actually restoring a lot of health (Instead of none actually )
he's a niche character (logic for a dog lol) and his place is about hunting, foraging and exploring.
When a good base is settled his helps will become very minimal and instead of helping with food at the beginning by fighting little spider and rabbit, he will become a burden to his mate.
Altough i say all of this, i really love this character and i hope it to be improved to have really the fun i was expecting of him.
I could even hunt a lot of spider, (There was a lot of nest near us) but after a few day, the yellow spider came and it was now impossible to hunt as before, they were too much overpowered compared to me, and i had 5 hound teeth. The time and health it took me to kill them wasn't negated by the loot.
And as i must kill spider by fighting them, my friend only had to put trap to kill those crap.
After that, i had to spend the whole day hunting rabbit and isolated spider to feed myself, and i couldn't do anything usefull for them.
And as his attack animation is taking quite long, i had severe trouble hunting rabbit, globber. Leaf lezard would have been good but we didn"t find them.
If the hunger becomes too much of an issue, I can look into doubling the food value you get from things, but Woge was playtested for a few months while being balanced, and the one thing that really jumped out with my friend was "wow I don't have to do any hunting or combat with Woge taking care of it".
Woge will never have a way to prevent Charlie without having a friend to make a fire. That was the original intended design of Woge.
