I'm too lazy to read the argument below but I like the set. Good looking cloak, helm, and pauldrons. You gave him shoes to cover his hideous feet. The crossbow is just a gun with crossbow limbs attatched, which is pretty funny to think about. I wouldnt mind this getting in; at the least it is high quality.

Because crossbow works by sending bolts with it`s bowstring, while rocket launcher (surprise there) launches rocket-propelled grenade. So rocket launching crossbow is as absurd, as jewish nazi.

If you're more interested in being defensive than taking constructive feedback, that's your prerogative. Our feedback is simply that- feedback. Take it or leave it- ultimately, it's up to Valve whether your set gets added, not us.

Because quality matters. This game doesn`t need more alphine Ursas and pirate Gyros. It didn`t need those things at all, because devotion to atmosphere is something, that separates Dota 2 from Dota2-wannabe peasantry. It really hurts to see some crappy sets passing due to Valve`s greed, so they are forgetting their own rules.
Ill offer you small advice, if you won`t mind. The first step of becomiing better is to separate yourself from bad examples. Lore breaking is one of them.

also most of sniper lines only being heard by the one who play him, so if person is ok with crossbow why should ohter bother?

Noting your example of the Axe set with a scythe- I agree that that's regrettable, however I don't feel the fact that sets that have failed to meet standards have been accepted is a reason to continue to fail to meet standards. It's unfortunate that whoever was in charge of accepting things let that set through. For my part, though, I'm going to try to keep the visual style and themes of Dota intact =)

I really hate to vote this down, because it's a really cool visual design, and I even think the colors and style work very well with Sniper... but Sniper won't shut up about his gun. Something like a third of his lines are about guns. Having him fire a crossbow without VO to support it is jarring and contradicts the basic concept of the character.

Really sorry- the set shows a great deal of talent, and looks great! It just doesn't make sense in the game, though.
