They changed a lot in fact he has to make everything compatible with it so far on the github. I can try I guess but I'm 99% it will blow up hehe.

This should be compatible with the Conquest and War mod at least, which is New Frontier's predecessor.

Yes, it will use some of the backgrounds from HoL systems if it's installed.

one thing i almost forgot, when playing the other day, between sectors every other second a new music track would try play each time in empty space between zones. like track a begins 2 seconds later track b begins and then 2 furhter seconds track e then a and so on, it keeps on like that until i arrive in a zone.

I played around with some things today and came up with something that should resolve the stuttering problem.

I do like the mod and i can see there is a lot potential, sort of like a recreation of x3 where zones are like systems and sectors are like blocs of systems in an area. hopefulyl something good can come of what you are attempting.

Sorry to hear that you're having performance issues. A few aspects of the mod exploit the game engine in ways that weren't originally intended. On the official forums I've been trying to gently nudge the devs into making changes that might improve the situation.

I just ran into a stuttering issue with this mod, i have ran through about 3 hours of game time on this and suddenly it starts stuttering, it is strange because if it were a frame rate issue my mouse would be effected which is not. i have decided to wait it out for 30 minutes at one point which did nothing, i then decided to reverse course in the hopes that it was simply something in that place i was exploring. these didn't help, i saved the game, quit the game and reset it, the issue still persists.

as of right now, it is virtually unplayable on this run.

Random universe is fairly predictable, but in my play through i have not seen any enemies or enemy zones and so far been through a few systems just exploring. i was wondering if it is possible to add an element of pirates to randomly appear in sectors are usually secured every once in a while so it gives the various systems i have gone through something interesting to keep an eye out on?

i have also yet to find zones and or sectors that are devoid of activity, so building an empire in this universe is going to be a little interesting.

i have also noted that in every system i have been in at least one zone in each sector is disconnected from the others every time. so i was also wondering if there could be systems that have less zones or more zones and some systems without highways at all? it would be an interesting change of pace.

Finally there are a lack of planets and stars in the background, is it possible to get a few of these to appear in this mod?

Hi,
i get your mod from Steam Workshop, but i have a problem with the "Random Names". I think the mod isnt able to find or calculate the names. At all, Systems, Sectors and Zones are the name given "=TextIDNotFound=".
I tried toe reinstall the mod. Also I deactivated all other mods, including both DLCs, but there are still no names given.
I hope u have some tips for me. I really like to try your nice sounding mod.

I was able to reproduce the problem, and it seems CWIR is the culprit. Doesn't matter if you're scanning stations or not, the freeze seems to always occur after about 10 minutes. I'll continue investigating by seeing if there are any CWIR scripts that start running around that time, and check for any possible conflicts.

kk, yeah I've had no issue as soon as it starts, usually after I've either scanned most of a nearby station, or shortly after starting to scan one.

Oh, I thought it was just freezing on startup. If it's happening everytime you enter new systems or every 5-15min, then it sounds like it caused by the part of the mod that spawns new stuff. I will take a look into that.

There aren't any conflicts in the main universe as far as I know. I can't really tell if all of CWIR's features carry over to the random universe though.

Yeah it's a limitation thing, I can't change the abbreviations outside of the map file. I just left it "RU RU" so that it's not blank.
