Is this working with the current version of the game? v1.14.1-f2
cheengus 3. okt. 2021 kl. 22:28
Hey just like Oregon fire trucks (they run red and blue). I'll try this with the Pierce mod.
The Doot Slayer 17. feb. 2021 kl. 16:45
Any chance to add a prop version of emergency lights? Would be great for detailing :)
DrunkBastard 25. sep. 2020 kl. 0:50
MAGENTA CRIMSON PINK PURPLE coloured L.E.D. lights are restricted to Special Law Enforcement agencies only including but not limited to Heavy-Vehicles, Fisheries and Local Rangers. Members of the public are not allowed to use this colour on public roads. In the USA, MAGENTA coloured lights are often used for funeral procession vehicles.

WHITE CLEAR coloured L.E.D. lights are often used in conjunction with other colours as WHITE by definition offers no distinct colour for identification. WHITE lights provide a very powerful effect when used in combination with other colours. Traditionally, it is recommended that WHITE colours only be used for front facing applications only and definitely not for rear facing.
DrunkBastard 25. sep. 2020 kl. 0:49
GREEN coloured L.E.D. lights have a different definition across Australia. Whilst it is primarily used to identify incident command vehicles for Police, Fire and Ambulance services whilst on scene, Amber & Green combination lights are also used in Queensland for authorised Animal & Fire Management vehicles. The private construction and works sector have also begun a new safety identification initiative for machinery, tractors and diggers to feature dual colour AMBER + GREEN coloured lights as the machinery is safe for others to approach when the GREEN coloured light is flashing.
DrunkBastard 25. sep. 2020 kl. 0:49
AMBER YELLOW ORANGE coloured L.E.D. lights are the most widely used warning colour available and deployed in Australia. By definition, a vehicle with an AMBER coloured warning light signifies that it is operating in a hazardous environment cautioning other road users that are around or approaching that vehicle to slow down and manoeuvre cautiously paying extra attention in case of a hazard or obstruction to the standard free flow of traffic. AMBER warning lights are not to be used when there is no hazard and this colour does not give the vehicle any right of way or emergency response status on public roads.

DrunkBastard 25. sep. 2020 kl. 0:48
BLUE coloured L.E.D. lights are highly restricted to Emergency Vehicles only. Whilst in Australia, most emergency service vehicles operate both RED + BLUE colours together, some law enforcement police agencies have begun trials into all BLUE only coloured L.E.D. light configurations for easier identification. Traditionally, BLUE is very much a representation of a vehicle that is operated by and for Law Enforcement & Policing duties such as Highway Patrol. General members of the public are not permitted to operate BLUE coloured warning lights legally in Australia.

RED coloured L.E.D. lights are restricted to Emergency Response Vehicles only. Whilst some exceptions have been allowed for secondary tier medical, fire and volunteer vehicles, RED coloured lights usually represent danger, warning and keep away. Often used in conjunction with BLUE, most emergency vehicles in Australia utilise this combination to safely respond on public roads.

DrunkBastard 25. sep. 2020 kl. 0:46
Whilst some colours are restricted for authorised vehicles only, the 6 official colours are:

1. AMBER also known as Yellow or Orange
2. BLUE
3. GREEN
4. MAGENTA also known as Crimson, Purple or Pink
5. RED
6. WHITE also known as Clear
TehF0cus 28. mar. 2020 kl. 17:32
here in germany everything is blue except service vehicles like tow trucks, they use yellow. So this mod is pretty much a must have
Angry Autist 20. feb. 2020 kl. 3:46
No firetrucks in the US use blue in their lights. Blue light is reserved exclusively for police only in the US. All other emergency vehicles use only red light.
ikarjala 19. feb. 2020 kl. 18:54
here (MIchigan), police is blue and red, fire and ems use red, tow trucks and plow trucks use yellow, though plow trucks are adding green strobes..... as far as I know, yellow is just a hazard light, saying "i'm here, don't hit me", green strobes are for visilibity in bad weather, red you are legally required to make way for, and blue is the law.
Luartes 26. jan. 2020 kl. 8:41
can you do one with only the red lights? is the Brazilian giroflex standard.
_Decks_ 28. dec. 2019 kl. 20:13
That being said, red and blue as the default for the US works for most states.
_Decks_ 28. dec. 2019 kl. 20:10
@Realish guy Light color has nothing to do with "modern" equipment in the US. It does, however, rely completely on the state and local statutes. This site sorts out the statutes at the state level: https://www.extremetacticaldynamics.com/knowledge-base/state-statutes/ I live in Nebraska, so you will see that police vehicles can use a combination of red, blue, and white lights (or any single color), while fire trucks use red and white lights. @admjmaddox is right, the correct answer is that it all very much more complicated depending on where you may live.
admjmaddox 8. dec. 2019 kl. 19:47
@Realish guy, maybe in the area where you live, but for a lot of places in the U.S. Police / Fire / EMS all share Red & Blue. Example: In the state of Missouri they use both, but in Arkansas; Blue is Police and Red is Fire/EMS.

In some areas Fire/EMS use Red / Green and in some areas Blue / Red / Green (Some Green meaning Oxygen on board and some as green meaning 'Command'.

So in reality, the colors used are all dependent on what the policies are in the area you live in. :)

So in a way I agree, the American preset is wrong, there should be multiple selections for American Preset.
kuok1234 20. okt. 2019 kl. 15:17
in Hong Kong, Fire trucks in RED, Ambulances in BLUE, Police in RED + BLUE
Neoba 5. juni 2019 kl. 17:20
A Classic. but; now void due to better versions, but it was indeed a start!
TROPtastic 17. juni 2018 kl. 1:08

AZ at least metro AZ have police fire and EMS are all blue/red
Josh3945 29. juli 2017 kl. 9:34
Fire & Ambulances are red/red and Police are red/blue in Michigan.
adnauseam 21. juli 2017 kl. 10:50
US - FL, in my city firetrucks & ambulance have red/red with smaller flashing whites, police are red/blue, but some highway patrol that I've passed going up north has been blue/blue.
Naragath 5. juli 2017 kl. 9:28
Where I live in the US, the firetrucks are red/red, but the ambulances are red/blue as well as the police. In the town to the north of me, the firetrucks used to have red/blue though I'm not sure if this is still the case (haven't been there in a few years, hehe).
Weaver 1. juli 2017 kl. 1:40
Nothing but police use blue lights anywhere I've lived in the US (which is mostly CA and IN), fire/ambulence are all red or red/white setups.
Geliboy 9. mar. 2017 kl. 23:28
in L.A. Fire trucks and Ambulances have only RED lights .. Police is RED on the driver side and blue on the other side

t1a2l 23. feb. 2017 kl. 6:05
@boformer - any update to your mod? does it work with the final version?
zreichel 18. dec. 2016 kl. 6:21
Boformer I am not sure what programs to use. I think I got the source changed. Could you contact me. zreichel@outlook.com
zreichel 17. dec. 2016 kl. 18:05

John Sheperd 4. dec. 2016 kl. 21:11
Am I the only one who has and Echo in the sound?
MaestroII 4. dec. 2016 kl. 6:27
Works with v1.6 we only now need a mod to lower the sirene sounds.
Chicken Titties 2. dec. 2016 kl. 9:22
is this compatable wtih lastest patch
boformer  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2016 kl. 7:54
easily possible, but right now I'm not into modding. With the published source, you can easily create a version with white sirens
zreichel 15. juni 2016 kl. 6:03
is it possible to do: Red/Red or Red/White for Fire/Medical and Red/Blue still for Police???
boformer  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2016 kl. 8:55
boformer  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2016 kl. 8:49
Update:

* The ambulance lights are now all blue in the European setting
TwoHands :3 27. maj 2016 kl. 16:40
Unfortunally there is one red emergency light at the ambulance left. Everything else is perfect. Really hoping for a fix! Nevertheless, awesome mod!
Smòóvious | TOBO 17. maj 2016 kl. 18:50
While you're at it, would you be able to add purple strobe lights to hearses? (hearses are increasingly using purple... private security uses green, fire/medical use red and white, etc...)

boformer  [ophavsmand] 27. feb. 2016 kl. 11:42
You can install one of the soundpacks to get a different siren.
Mr.FlapJack 27. feb. 2016 kl. 1:18
Just throwing this out there but what would be great is changing the sounds of emergency vehicles to match this, American sirens are different than European sirens. Those options would be great. I like the small detail you made though, thank you.
Overrun 21. feb. 2016 kl. 17:28
looks like just what I'm looking for...thanks
Sotrax 21. feb. 2016 kl. 8:39
Not a big problem, just cosmetic. There are way more important mods out there .. and then there's these strange thing .. called real life. But I wanted to let you know. :)
boformer  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 7:46
maybe I forgot a light. I don't have the time to fix it atm ;)
Sotrax 21. feb. 2016 kl. 5:50
Well I tried to find a conflict with another mod first, but there seems none. Works fine for me with firetrucks and police vehicles, they just flash blue-blue. But ambulances will flash red-blue - at the back. The front-lights will flash just blue. All emergency vehicles are modded, but the behavior is the same among all.
[Delta ²k5] 19. feb. 2016 kl. 6:01
Seems like I fixed my issues by deleting old rests of the sound tuner. Right after that the output_log next pointed me to a stack overflow I ran in after subscribing to other mods I used before. I think that it's because CO adds the new stuff so we are closer to such a limit than before

Thank you @boformer for trying to help :)
Painful Agenda 19. feb. 2016 kl. 2:12
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS MOD as you seem to know abit about this game is there an easy way to check assets eg firestations etc without loading one by one as I had to turn them all off as after update as some are causing problems and not sure which ones and i have about 200, was fine before
Painful Agenda 19. feb. 2016 kl. 1:47
Looks like ambient sound tuner was making this mod not work properly even after unsubscribed had to goto local files and delete after your mod worked fine
boformer  [ophavsmand] 18. feb. 2016 kl. 23:48
Instead of screaming "Update!", why don't you test the mod first? Most of the mods on the workshop do not require an update. That's just like saying "This doesn't work" although you never actually tried it.
Painful Agenda 18. feb. 2016 kl. 22:39
@Delta was asking because I have many Mods and wanted to know which users were active to update mods and which were not, I cant see how this is bad, I asked on 4 mods if there were updating and people jump as if it is bad to check as some users make a mod and never come on again, I have had this before so was only seeing if he was still active all I wanted was a yes then I would off waited :-).
