We are gathered here today, to mourn the loss of this mod. R.I.P. 2015-2015

No workie!
Misery 14. nov. 2019 kl. 3:08
As it happens, I just finished about 30 turns of a MP game with a friend to test it, as the opportunity arose; There seem to be no conflicts.

The ELCP is the acronym for the Endless Legend Community Patch.

I don't know which mod you are talking about, sorry. I haven't kept up with EL in a while. This mod is fairly lightweight, so there shouldn't be any conflicts.
Misery 14. nov. 2019 kl. 1:11
I can't imagine a reason it wouldn't be, but would you happen to know if this is compatible with ELCP?
Nephaelys 22. dec. 2016 kl. 16:13
Great! I'm mod-fishing for ELegend for the first time after being too frustrated by it's faction customisation limits compared to ESpace. Took me two years to think about looking at the workshop XD
Now I hope this works with the mod that allows changing the faction traits :3
In all cases, THANK YOU! :D:

lol yeah
I got lost 2 paragraphs in with the description xD
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 29. apr. 2016 kl. 17:56
I personally don't use it. Mostly because I haven't figured out how. It seems pretty helpful, but you might want to figure out how to do things manually the first few times, just so you know what the tool actually does and how it saves you time.
Prickly Poke 29. apr. 2016 kl. 17:42
Found the tutorial PDF =)

Would you recomend the Splitter created by another modder>?
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 29. apr. 2016 kl. 5:08
Yep! Just be careful about editing the base files. Your game will work, provided you don't break anything, but your game will desync when playing with others without your edits. You'll have to verify your game cache to re-download the old ones. It's well worth reading the tutorial and following the basic mod-setup steps, so you can work without changing the base files!

Great! I was afraid that my regualr notepad wouldnt save in the right format. So i should be able to make changes and save them then?
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 28. apr. 2016 kl. 22:13
An XML is just a text file with some formatting! Anything which can read plaintext will work, even regular old notepad. I use notepad++, but there are lots of alternatives.
Prickly Poke 28. apr. 2016 kl. 17:52
Quick question,
Which sofware is it that allows me to eddit the files in this game -_-

I know they are XML, but I know nothing else - including what an XML doc is xD
Prickly Poke 28. apr. 2016 kl. 17:02
Thanks for the redirect! I will head over there now and take a look. ^_^
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 28. apr. 2016 kl. 1:13
The official forums are great, and the people there will help you out if you ask. There's also a few official documents put out by the devs you can find on there that have a lot of good info.
Prickly Poke 27. apr. 2016 kl. 20:12
I will be following, but i was hoping to get a few tips on how to make traits of my own. The most I hav ever done with modding is playing with script files in basic games like bejewled. Where shhould I start looking?
Cephalopod empress 28. dec. 2015 kl. 17:17
havnt played much with other people, but that does sound like fun :P
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2015 kl. 14:34
Pretty sure it does, yes. Try not to be too mean to your friends!
Cephalopod empress 28. dec. 2015 kl. 12:52
does socialites affect converted villages? If so I could have ALOT of fun with it in a custom cultist build.
TwelveStep 7. dec. 2015 kl. 4:37
The smaller the region, the more valuable each population you get is. The larger the reason, the more likely you are to get 3 additional easy population per city. With the right governors, it's pretty insane. Just thought 10 might be more appropriate, as 2 points wouldn't hurt in situations where it's not abused.
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2015 kl. 3:19
The mechanics of allowing more minor factions isn't hard, but I can't modify the GUI, so it wouldn't really work.

Have you found Socialites too powerful? In what circumstances?
TwelveStep 7. dec. 2015 kl. 1:50
Any way you could add a mod that allows more minor faction assimilation? Perhaps 3 tiers at 15 points for the first two tiers and 10 for the third? Also, would you consider increasing the point cost for Socialites to 10?
Phikeman 28. nov. 2015 kl. 15:04
Oh, ok. Thanks for info.
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 28. nov. 2015 kl. 14:33
I think that's possible. The code for hit chances is public, so someone could do it. It's a bit beyond the scope of things I'm willing to take on, though.
Phikeman 28. nov. 2015 kl. 14:17
I know it has nothing to do with your mod, and I'm apolgizing for this, but do you think you'd be able to create a mod, which would make the units in battle always hit whichever (critical, normal, reduced or blocked hit) has the greatest chance? I have incredibly bad luck and I'm losing battles while having more and stronger units and heroes and so... I hate RNG in games. Do you think you could do that? It would be awesome!
Caricifus 21. nov. 2015 kl. 22:24
Dude that is so awesome! Thank you so much! I like taking negative mods too but I super appreciate you taking the time on this. I have no idea on how to do things like this. Have all of the fake and free internet points I can give!!!
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2015 kl. 17:35
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2015 kl. 16:59
Sure, i can make a micro-mod like that.

I wound't use it, though. It's much more fun to take negative traits to give you extra points!
Caricifus 21. nov. 2015 kl. 12:51
Can you modify this mod (or make another) that lets all races have up to 105 points to put into traits as opposed to just the Vaulters/Mezari having that? Basically this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/endlesslegend/mods/11/? I just dont know how to port things :(
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2015 kl. 13:31
Ah, that's right! that looks like game ID number, and then something else. Maybe mod ID number. Things look much different from my end, as Amplitude have created their own upload interface thingy.
Kepos 20. nov. 2015 kl. 13:29
@zen
Yeah, found it deep inside Steam directory '..SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\289130\554268262' besides other numbers. :steamfacepalm:

Seems Steam brings organization inside the chaos...unfortunately it's not easy to find.
BTW...we may change this over into discussions if it lasts longer...
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2015 kl. 13:18
I honestly have no idea...

Isn't there a workshop folder in steam? Probably in there somewhere.
Kepos 20. nov. 2015 kl. 5:43
@zen
Ok, will do....if you might share info where the mod is stored after patch? with workshop it is not in '...Documents\Endless Legend\Community' any longer. :steammocking:
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2015 kl. 4:31
Hm. Okay. Well that's unfortunate.

You can do a workaround and copy the english folder in the mod's localisation folder and rename it 'German" and it will give you english tooltips. Unfortunately I don't speak german, and I don't think that relying on google translate would work too well.
Kepos 20. nov. 2015 kl. 3:42
@zen I unly used a placeholder phrase and tested without Enchanteur's mod. Unfortunately I get same typing error with Echantanteur's. :steamfacepalm:
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2015 kl. 3:37
I think that's Enchanteur's mod, not mine. All of my names have 'zen' in them, to ensure that other peopler are unlikely to have the same names, and hence cause conflicts. However, this mod is only localised in english, so I wouldn't expect the german version to work properly.

I had thought it might default back to english or french if there was no relevant localisation strings, but I must admit to not really testing that functionality.
Kepos 20. nov. 2015 kl. 3:30
Hm...localization doesn't seem to work properly. Getting lots of %tinytrait...% offers with German version. :KOh:
Leon Mercury 19. nov. 2015 kl. 21:29
Okay, thanks.
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2015 kl. 21:27
Oh! I missed that when I copied the description over from the amplitude forums, they have the icons. It's +4 approval! I will fix that now. :spacemonster:
Leon Mercury 19. nov. 2015 kl. 21:03
Does beach party effect all resources, or something specific? It's hard to tell what it's for from my perspective.
Melno Wolf 19. nov. 2015 kl. 19:53
ah ok, might be a little op in some territories... I like it
Zen Tractor  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2015 kl. 19:17
The Socialite and Xenophobe traits technically affect the villages themselves, causing them to grant their owning city +/-1 pop in addition to their usual +1. It also happened to work for converted villages, but I liked that so I kept it in.
Melno Wolf 19. nov. 2015 kl. 19:09
its nice to see some people playing with the kit already, but is the Socialite and Xenophobe traits
per village in a territory, or +/- 1 per territory itself? just wondering
