I don't even have words. This map blows away everything and your maps play so smooth for how much content you add. I love the unique imagination. Beautiful! How does this map only have 4 stars and all these other junk maps have five. Give me a break. Take your heads out of your A and give this guy 5 stars.

Hey, I am one of the co-founders of Project America. Please get ahold of me I would like to see about helping you remastering your terrain with our Objects Core pack.

dropping in the year 2022 to say this map is underrated and excellent
Agent Saucy 18 jul 2021 om 1:36
Nice terrain, but some of the asset placement is quite frankly subpar.

Wheres the sugar

Love this! One of the few maps that could really pass for somewhere in the US, specifically coastal Louisiana or Mississippi. On top of that it's a very unique terrain with its own challenges, and nothing on the map really feels forced or too out of place. Well done!

wow looks boss

Really gorgeous terrain!
Grumpy Oldhead 5 mrt 2019 om 1:57
This is a great map. My favorite of all. I had to stop my game just to come here to say so.
GIB CHECHENS 18 feb 2019 om 18:43
Totally gorgeous map, love just driving around it in the old UAZ and jumping over canals and ditches. Total blast. Could be an easy proxy for a Special Economic Zone in W. Africa/SE Asia or Latin/S. America, or maybe just a particularly modern area. Are you still working on it?
Phil 18 feb 2019 om 9:52
Really amazing map !
Ive made a patch to change the muddy water to Tanoa water if someone needs it.

@Belisario - thank you, I think. ;D
Vizconde Medardo 16 nov 2018 om 20:50
we just came from a mision on this map, everybody hated the swamp, the water, the tight spots where the boat seems to fit but it doesnt so you have to push it, the limited view due to the vegetation, being shot from the grass, etc: mission acomplished, this map is really well designed, specially the bayou, its a bloddy mess to move around there, the main enemy is the terrain, cheers for that and keep the good work
PlagueDoc 22 okt 2018 om 16:56
Please try to fix the remaining known bugs - especially te lighting one - this map is too good not to be perfect!
CuddlesTheBear 25 jul 2018 om 21:12
This is a great map! I wanted to ask if this map is still indexed by the ALIVE modules? Thanks!
Bruce Vega 15 jun 2018 om 12:56
Best map ever!
woesinger  [auteur] 8 mei 2018 om 18:27
Great to hear that, Charlie! I always wondered about the frames people were getting.
Charlie 7 7 mei 2018 om 17:18
Great Map, have been using it a lot lately. Realistic looking in layout and on the ground or water. We use it for PvP and have never had issues running it. What a strange combination! Apex content looks great, thanks for keeping at it.
woesinger  [auteur] 5 mei 2018 om 15:01
Glad you enjoy it!
Bruce Vega 5 mei 2018 om 1:42
Your map has -however- a amazing ambience. It is our standard training base.
woesinger  [auteur] 4 mei 2018 om 17:45
Hey Glenn - thanks for the kind words and the heads up!
Bruce Vega 4 mei 2018 om 9:13
Very nice work. Thank you for the update! We love your sweet sugar map!
We found some floating objects at 036-966 in the industrial plant.

Hey B_o_A, thanks for the heads up - will look into it.
Jason 4 feb 2018 om 4:11
Great work on this map. I am receiving an error when starting it up that says "no entry 'bin/config.bin/cfgpatches.cup_desert2_data' . I can still play on the map in the editor and server so its not game breaking but probably needs updated.
Simo [C.E.S.A] 9 dec 2017 om 12:35

woesinger  [auteur] 5 dec 2017 om 12:04
Hey there - yes that has been a long term plan. I just need to finish off this other map I've been working on first !
TheVood 30 nov 2017 om 9:20
Hey woesinger, apparently Apex assets are now decrypted as of today's update... could we hope to eventually see an overhaul of Sugar Lake with Apex assets instead of the A3/CUP greek/euro assets? Always been a big fan of your work and I especially loved the setting of this map, the Apex assets would really do it justice (I did some experimenting with 3den to swap some euro buildings for Tanoa bungalows and it looks fantastic). All the best!

Sorry for the complaint xD I shortly found this out after my second launch of the map was just very excited to test and play it and got abit panicked lol! Very good job on the map btw one of my most played and favourite maps in the arma series, keep up the good work! ;)
woesinger  [auteur] 1 okt 2017 om 13:29
Hey Dimitri - sorry for the slow reply - it needs CUP Terrains to run all of the pre-A3 objects. Hope that helps!
KAL 18 sep 2017 om 17:37

awsome
woesinger  [auteur] 15 apr 2017 om 15:07
To be honest, Nina, probably not. I've been working on a huge new desert map for a while now and still have a ways to go. And after that - I'm taking a long break. :)
A Rhinolined Jeep 7 apr 2017 om 18:52
Would you be willing to do one of the Belle Chasse area by any chance? With NAS JRB New Orleans and all of that?
woesinger  [auteur] 7 apr 2017 om 18:50
Hey Grand Duchess - sorry for the slow reply (Steam hasn't been keeping me informed of comments). It actually started with a visit to the original Venice, which got me thinking about a marshland map. Then I got to looking at the Mississippi delta and Venice, LA, with its port and oil facilities, long causeway roads, and its tangle of channels kind of leapt out - small enough to be managable, but enough on one map to be interesting. I did have to paste in the airport, but even that fitted without much fuss.
ærømagnetica 5 apr 2017 om 8:55
looks great!!
A Rhinolined Jeep 13 mrt 2017 om 4:41
i genuinely have to ask why you decided to make a map based off of Venice.. it's quite strange living less than an hour away from what one of these maps was based on..
woesinger  [auteur] 23 jan 2017 om 16:12
Good to hear - guys. If there's something specific you think might be causing crashes - let me know and I'll see if I can fix it. Thanks for the kind words. :)
masterheap 22 jan 2017 om 17:54
woesinger I have not had any issues since recent updates. Works great. :)
Bacon 22 jan 2017 om 17:20
We tried to play a cqb mission with around ~35ppl with a lot of mods and ai ruiining around + scripting could bea mix with all those things together - I love the map its beautiful :)
woesinger  [auteur] 22 jan 2017 om 16:19
Cheer Bacon - not seeing any crashes in a quick fly and drive around. What conditions do you get crashes under?
Bacon 21 jan 2017 om 12:31
Crashes.
Silent 9 jul 2016 om 12:33
This map is absolutely amazing! Very underated all of the buildings placements and textures on the map are ultra realistc. I'm mad i didn't subscribe ealier.
masterheap 13 jun 2016 om 17:52
Heya Woesinger. Okay ALL of my mod folders decided to go invisible. Do not know why, but I found a workaround via launcher (copy mod to a folder option).
woesinger  [auteur] 7 jun 2016 om 15:51
Hi masterheap - thanks for the report. It may be a 1.60 bug. Did the hotfix sort it out for you?
