@Erik, look at it's name. It's Illusionary. If you look closer to map in game, you will see it's not flat-map actually. It makes saturation level maxed so hills, mountains etc. can't be seen.

Its just weird, other flat maps are ironman compatible, like Illlusionary Flat Map, I guess I will just use that one tho no biggie

@Erik, It changes game mechanics and this is not accepted as valid game files. Then, Paradox makes it non-ironman. It's all about on Paradox side.

Ive found that this also appears in the base game, however they are alot less noticeable and are more like dark shadows rather than grayish patches

When I move over the british isles when zoomed out a little bit this weird greyish stuff appears around the edges? Do you happen to know anyway to get rid of this?

This mod doesn't completely flatten the map, right? It just makes it have less terrain like mountains stick out less by being not as tall.

Ok, apparently changing the order between your mods fixed it (I renamed the flat map addon to [GFX_Flat]).

Interesting, my mods don't have that view. Can you disable all other mods and only enable GFX Overhaul mod and add-ons*

I've got quite a few mods, but none that alter the shadows/hight map, so I don't know what may be the problem.

@Tjuh since Flap Map add-on's change the map leveling or some shit like that its not Ironman Compatible
