could you use a replay video when showcasing this mod? all you can see in that vid you posted is you micromanaging a bunch of sprites while zoomed out all the way. how can we tell what's going on in the battle, on the ground, watching the units fighting it out when you don't show it?

Hi, I like how the pace of the battle is slowed down by reducing the hit chance, is it possible to further reducing the hit chance? I like the mechanics of vanilla combat but the pace of the actual melee is way to fast. A normal battle should at least last 10- 15 minutes instead of 5-10 minutes as it is in vanilla. Also, increasing the towers capture rate is not such a good idea for the defender because towers are a great advantage for the defender against an opponent wich has greater numbers.

Sid, may I call you that? Sid, I played vanilla for a bit after I got the game yesterday. Installed many of your mods. This battle mod is well done.

I haven't been able to simulate the problem below, so don't know if it exists. Cavalry can still get speedy, but thankfully not Benny Hill style. What happens if you lower their speed a point? I'm sure you've twead it already, but if not it worth a test run. The balance is just right and this is synergizing with my other mod choices. Thanks. :KneelingBow:

On several other occasions I noticed disembarked naval units didn't take damage from cavalry charge impact or be affected by charge bonus. Again, the cavalry was Bucelarii Guard, so it may be unit specific.

On first battle with this mod I noticed cavalry in wedge formation (Bucelarri guard cavalry) didn't do any impact damage and didn't seem to have charge bonuses on a unit of Vandal Light maruader (a naval unit on land - medium melee infantry)

no longer those OP charges by shock cav...also horsecav spam isnt as OP as before. seriously, i am playing attila again because of this mod because the battles arent such a joke anymore (it made me ragequit several times after watching my braced spearmen in shieldwall getting overrun by hunnic shock cav in 5-10 seconds). thanks for this :)

Ah, hate to correct you man but the Palatina Guard have heavy armour and big shields. You shouldn't be using missile cavalry against them at all.
