I really appreciate all firewill plane mods high quality content, it's a blessing to the community.
One suggestion I have though:
Can we have all the skin variations moved to paintjobs (right click the plane in editor -> edit apprearances -> paintjob selection)?
Right now the skin variations clutter the editor faction list, serving no purpose as I don't really care about skin texture differences like this one from 1st marine corp or that one is 73th army. It just served no purpose in game.
-4x AIM-9
-4x AIM-120 (in use with the F-14D)
-2x AIM9 + 2x AIM-120
-2x AIM9 + 2x AGM-65
-2x AIM9 + 2x GBU-12 / MK82
-4x GBU-12 / MK82
-2x GBU-16-24 / MK83-84
-3x AGM-65
-2x AGM-84 SLAM / Harpoon
-2-3x AGM-88 HARM
-EWP as a external fuel tank, even a EWP with a refueling canister
-Other configurations that now doesn't comes to my mind
(Maybe this can be used in other Firewill's models).
For the F-14E, @Firewill don't need to do changes on the model of the F-14D. For the ST-21/22 it's need do changes on the skin and model, and on fuel capacity. For the ASF, it needs to do a rework of the F-14 model, and add the thrust vectoring (in the ST-22 it should be needed too)
An "easy" progression to the advanced ST-21 and ST-22, it could be done the "upgrade" from the F-14D Super Tomcat, to the F-14D "Quick Strike" (let's call it as "F-14E").
For the F-14E "Strike Cat", @Firewill just need the F-14D model:
-AIM-120C AMRAAM ("stand-alone" under the pylons used for the AIM-7 Sparrow)
-3x AIM-120C AMRAAM (this groups should be placed under the belly. Carrying a max. of 6x)
-AGM-65 Maverick ("stand-alone" under the pylons of the AIM-54)
-3x AGM-65 Maverick (just under the belly, same as AIM-120)
-AGM-84 SLAM/Harpoon ("stand-alone" under the same pylons of the AIM-54)
-AGM-88 HARM ("stand-alone" under the pylons used for the AIM-7 Sparrow)
-GBU-12 / MK82 ("stand-alone" under the the pylons used for the AIM-7 Sparrow)
-3x GBU-12 / MK82 (same that in the group of the AIM-120)
-GBU-16-24 / MK83-84 ("stand-alone" under the pylons used for the AIM-54)
I follow on the next post.
He does some tasks (based on real-life):
-Control and lock the LANTIRN pod (for drop our own bombs, or guide the bombs/missiles of other players).
-Launch bombs / Phoenix missile (you will need to configure the pylon for do this).
-Control and talk with the radio, specially, when I'm doing other tasks, like being involved in a dogfight or landing.
-Help me when we are in a dogfight, or when I need a navigation help.
We do the same when we use other twin-seat planes, like the F/A-18D/F, the F-16D, the F-15E or the Su-34
??
Now all we need is some Project Wingman goodies like a Monarch skin so we can fly with Prez in ArmA.
Boy, the F-14's lovers need this...
Anytime, baby!
