This fits very well as an Insurgent weapon.

It was literally designed as such, and probably one of the best weapons purposely designed for use by insurgent groups.

unlikely, sorry. The proportions for the sterling and the sten are surprisingly quite different, so its a fairly large amount of work to port animations from one to the other.
