could you add a disadventage to this mod so it is not really cheating, like 80% more damage taken?

Well, it works how I concived: no problems with Charlie, easier fights, but real problems within his head. I "farmed" sanity on bee hives and spider nests, and it did't look like a big issue. But yeah, sanity loss could be too fast, need to think about it.

yeah, well i reverted this back to the original file. I seperated the mods now so people can chose which version they want to play. ill be working on balancing the other version some more.

But yeah, now that ive been testing it out, it is really hard to keep you sanity up haha. like REALLY HARD.

I like the chnges overall, but maybe just add something else to gain sanity thats not killing because that's taking up a LOT of my time.

Well, since it seams so many people do not like th chances made to this mod, I’m going to revert it back to the old one, and just release a new version of this that has the changes, and work on rebalancing the new one. That way people can chose the version they want.

Hey man! Those are some really nice tweaks! I haven't actually looked back into this mod since i made it almost 3 years ago. I'm going to see if I can get those changes working properly into DST. Once I do, I'll release the steam workshop version, and of course give you credit for what you did!

Nice mod! I tweaked it a little to make game character more like Myers from films. Here's the changes (with reasons to do it in brackets):
+Added 50% damage resist (Myers is kinda unkillable, but higher number will be OP)
-Redused knife damage to spear level (balance, other weapons will make sense, kitchen knife is not actually a weapon)
+Removed sanity loss because of
night and monsters (he's monster himself)
digging (Judith's tombstone)
eating raw meat (in first film he killed a dog to eat it, monter meat unchanged)
+Added sanity gain on kills (no need to explain)
-Removed other variants of sanity gain (flowers? srsly?)
-Sanity loss over time (balance, he's actually insane)
-No sanity gain on nightmare monsers kill (balance)

Version with my changes here [drive.google.com], I'm not gonna post it in steam workshop. Shoely, feel free to add those changes to your mod. Same for DST vesion, but I'm not sure it will work correctly

I was not really expecting for this awnser. I did not know that Michael had these weaknesses. I en there psychopathy, I think it's natural it, actually I do not know. I do not so sure if it is totally dominated by this insanity, voices and curse, maybe he just had a lapse when his mind tried to conflict about killing his own sister. The curse is the only thing that does not make Michael uncontrolled mentally. The curse dominate the destroyed Michael's mind. But decrease by almost 99% things that lower Michael's sanity seems a good consensus between us. We can conclude that Michael's mind is destroyed, in fact. But what's left of sanity can not be easily affected. ( Sorry about my English, i'm not American )

But after what you told me, you can see that Jamie can lower these "50" easily (but still think that if Freddy use it, still would not release certain feelings for Michael to increase the advantage of Freddy in combat). But I believe that Michael's sanity is very different to the world of Don't Starve, and only his family can affect him.

ok, because im a long winded person, i actually have to break my reply down into seperate comments, I am sorry. Prepare you butt for a lot of long and boring text.

I could give you at 20 page paper on that answer, but I’m going to try and shorten it.

A.) Can't deny, he's already an OP character, but i need to at least attempt something to balance him out.

B.) I based him off of the first movie and book

C.) Hears voices (due to that whole dumb thing about being cursed. I'm super bitter about that. I wish they would have just made him a schizophrenic. Would have been short, simple, and sweet.)

D.) Actually felt remorse when he killed his sister, so we do have some inner turmoil here. (This is debatable, but in the book i clearly remember the voices telling Michael to kill his sister, even though he didn’t want to. but then almost immediately he started to display signs of antisocial personality disorder.)

E.) Locked in a mental institution for 15 year, would barely know how the outside world really works.

F.) Fixated on the murder of his sister Judith. Felt the need to repeat that action over and over again, by finding a sister-like figures excited him sexually. *cough cough* Laurie (when the first movie was written, Laurie was not supposed to be Michael sister.)

G.) Myers was based off a mentally ill patient Carpenter saw while on a trip to a mental institution. Described him as having a "real evil stare" which he found "unsettling", "creepy", and "completely insane."

As you mentioned Freddy Krueger plays on fear, which is something Myers seems to completely lack. The lack of fears is also a nice sign of someone with antisocial personality disorder. You know who else had ASPD? Ted Bundy and no one called him sane. But yeah, Myers is definitely soulless. But sane? Hell no.

(feel free to fight me on this. i actually love debating on topics like this. Come up with a good counter argument, with supporting facts that can convince me, I'll bump up his sanity. Mentioning the whole soulless thing is a good point though. I could make his sanity drain from negative aura much less or nonexistent since he wouldn't be phased by such things.)

Why not more sanity? I don't know, but he is some kind of "soulless". He can't be mentally easily affected. Freddy Krueger would struggle to fight him by the difficulty of penetrating in Michael's mind and use fear and guilt as a weapon , just as he did with Jason and all the teens.
