Nope, these work without any DLCs. ;)
Pesce_Plinio 6. dec. 2022 kl. 11:14
Or any other dlc
Pesce_Plinio 6. dec. 2022 kl. 11:14
Do these canals require the plazas and promenades DLC to work?
MisterHamstring 1. maj 2021 kl. 1:11

matskrab 24. juni 2018 kl. 12:44
how do you use them?

The water looks so ugly I can't use. Needs better water!
IceJunky 20. dec. 2016 kl. 13:28
Much better than the canals the game provides
michelwitte 21. okt. 2016 kl. 15:33
These channels are the same as you were in SC4? They are very similar.
Thank you.
Shodai 4. sep. 2016 kl. 10:00
Grrreeeaatt ! keep doing good work sir ! :steamhappy:
SonOfNitrous 10. juni 2016 kl. 17:35
Could you make a version to use with Water Resource?) Since we have floating boats it could be a real step forward and it would look just amazing. :steamhappy:
Or a separate assets like walls... don't want to be offencive with request, but canals looks so cool - texture, small piers... just atmosphere they bring that I just can't stand not to ask =)
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2015 kl. 17:05
Thank you! By direction do you mean what side attaches to roads? In that case no, that can't be changed unless I were to change the whole asset.
benzoll 13. dec. 2015 kl. 22:07
I used combined with "8x4 block" and "restaurant plaza".
A question: is no option to choose the direction of the "16x4 block" to put?
benzoll 13. dec. 2015 kl. 21:52
Great item. Beautifies the city. Water well achieved, it is real. :steammocking:
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2015 kl. 12:37
Sorry, what do you mean by no water? The water is just a static texture.
Meister Schildkroete 13. dec. 2015 kl. 12:24
hey, the canals looks great, but after a while there is no more water into it? you know the reason or even a solution?
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2015 kl. 4:29
Thanks! 4x4 is kind of like that, though it doesn't have the basement entrances.
Arie 11. nov. 2015 kl. 5:06
This looks really great, will try out all the different combinations in my next city.
Any chance you can make werf-kelder style canals like in Utrecht?
Would be nice to make my own versions of both Amsterdam and Utrecht
Badger 10. nov. 2015 kl. 16:01
Thanks for replying - I did have a look around for a mod, but didn't see anything specific. I can live with the seagulls anyway, if it means having these beautiful canals in my city. I really love them - thank you!
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2015 kl. 13:47
Thank you :) There was a mod for it but I don't know if it still works in 1.2.2...
Badger 9. nov. 2015 kl. 20:27
These canals are gorgeous, but they seem attract large numbers of seagulls which make annoying sounds - does anyone know how to get rid of them?
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 3. nov. 2015 kl. 3:44
Tried that early on, didn't work because the terrain doesn't clip cleanly between two assets.
BLACKadderMOUSE 2. nov. 2015 kl. 21:18
you should make some of these without the bridges at the ends so we can make longer, continuous canals
Breeze 9. okt. 2015 kl. 17:44
+ More boats + UI Priority
Thank you

yes it appeared again, thanks a lot!

Should be in the back of your menu now
Alexz 8. okt. 2015 kl. 6:06
In my game, the parks that I built previously still exist but I can't build new ones now...
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. 2015 kl. 0:23
Meanwhile, this may be a possible fix.
First unsub an resub to everything, wait for the files to download.
Then...
1) Load the corrupted savegame.
2) Pause the game.
3) Save the game again.
4) Load the new save.
Let me know if that fixes it.
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. 2015 kl. 0:06
That's very bad news because that's a game breaking error. Can you confirm the assets work or don't work on a new map? And for anybody else reading this, please confirm if the update worked for you.
QU4DRATIC 5. okt. 2015 kl. 22:28
your asset crashed my game after you updated it on 5 Oct. :(. I cant load my saves.

Thanks for the info, GCVos.
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 5. okt. 2015 kl. 6:17
You don't need the Canal Walls, no, I just added them for reference as they were highly requested. You have to hook up a pipeline underneath the canals (this is to mimmick how canals become dirty and need to be cleaned up).
josefrogo 4. okt. 2015 kl. 14:12
how to subscript to all elements at once?
Teaniks 4. okt. 2015 kl. 11:15
Great lookin asset! How do you solve to problem message about the canal smells like sewage?
Azertin03 4. okt. 2015 kl. 10:51
Wow , c'est comme être a Venise ou Paris , même si Paris = Pollution
mofenu 4. okt. 2015 kl. 8:29
real nice asset ...
🐺𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔀🐾 4. okt. 2015 kl. 4:41
I noticed that you put the Canal Walls as a requirement for this Mod. Do you really have to have them? Will the original work just as well without it?
🐺𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔀🐾 4. okt. 2015 kl. 4:35
Now just imagine this Mod lined with this one I've found today?:Top_Secret:

I'm a Dutchie too :D I know exactly what you mean and I'm about to share the first walls! Thank you!
mastergenius 3. okt. 2015 kl. 8:03
O, ps, one only has to know the width of the shiproute to be able to do this. Ofcourse one could always opt to make himself (or create a downloadable version) a socalled intersection of a few roads parallel the exact width of the shiproute.........perhaps an intersection asset of curved roads again with the same width.
Then all one has to do is what you said already: terraform it somewhat, put in a waterspawner (or hook it up to some existing watersource like river). Et Voila............

Now wish i knew how to create my own buildings, hahaha. Im not a blender or 3d kinda person. More a gameplayer with imagination.

Cheers and looking forward to whatever you create next. Up to now all beautiful stuff in my opinion.
mastergenius 3. okt. 2015 kl. 7:51
Thx for the clarification of what you meant with the square tile. Im dutch and had a bit of difficulty understanding what you meant.
Anyway, your canal asset/mod/addon or whatever is very nice for decoration for sure.
But i took the liberty to expand my own idea somewhat and have made a simple example presented here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=519714512
(yes, that is also a sneaky way to get some more people on my created maps >;) Not that they are the best, but not bad either i think)

Anyway, i dont mean this to disrespect your creation, it is a very nice creation and i am using it for the smaller canals we have here which it is perfect for. So by all means continu producing nice stuff.
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2015 kl. 7:36
Thanks for the ideas, it actually really helps when other people think into it as well! I have been working on separate canal walls for the water simulation. They do in fact use roads as guides after which you can terraform and flood the area in between. They will be uploaded pretty soon so people can build their own waterways. :)

About the tiles I was talking to Doggydog about square water tiles with the same static texture.
mastergenius 3. okt. 2015 kl. 6:25
crap, i shouldnt have given others that idea, hahaha. I should have made an example for others to use...........

Just kidding. Hope i brought some people to some nice ideas as that is what is nice too in my opinion.
mastergenius 3. okt. 2015 kl. 6:23
Infact, with some imagination (lots) one could use the castle wall or some other wall addon/asset......... and the terraform tool............. and make themselves a canal which is much wider, walled with brick walls or at least assets that look like brick walls......... and have ships go through.

You just terraform in a nice canal, using a straight road as guide............ then one could put a road on the bottom, (or use walls assets that can be placed anywhere without road if they exist, not sure)........ put them walls in place........ fill it up with a waterspawner or 2, or a wateroutlet station, and draw in a ship path with another nice mod which makes it possible to adjust the shiproutes ingame.

Just an idea.
mastergenius 3. okt. 2015 kl. 6:19
GCVos, not sure what you mean by Standalone water tiles............... but with the terraform tool which also lets you put waterspawners everywhere you like, it aint that difficult to create a pond, with a dike around it for instance. Any shape you want.

There are also wateroutlets that can be used to fill such a pond.

Either way, pretty nice addon you made. These canals are in the city i live in too. There is even a small river flowing under the city i live in, called the Dieze...... it was build over the river basically. Maybe with some imagination (like the pillars/collide mod) one can build buildings over these canals and have something similar to what we have here in 's- Hertogenbosch.
Dinek05 3. okt. 2015 kl. 2:44
very preety
GCVos  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2015 kl. 17:23
No it's just a static texture ;)
