I'm posting a link to a collection I made that will contain this mod. I am currently working on an updated and compatible list of every mod that you would need for a "modern" cities build. Help me out? love your work btw

This is a MUST have asset in my cities. Thanks!

So old yet still perfect asset :)

I love it , thanks for the work.

Use the Move It mod you can adjust and line them up perfectly.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but whenever I connect the upgrade piece with the others, they're always a little off. I have them lined up correctly on the roads, but there's still this small piece sticking out. It's not as smooth as what you show in the pictures. I still love it though!

I like this very much, and it reminds me - just a very little bit - at Amadeus [www.amadeus.com] Data Center.
SlyWolf 20 nov, 2015 @ 22:46
Love this!

Good idea, I'm yet to place it in my new city. I will let you know when I do. :)

Thanks a lot! If I remember correctly I first wanted to make it a Police HQ, but I thought it made more sense to turn the 'data' into energy. :P

With this model I could still extract some of the generators and solar panels and make smaller plants from them.
Minnion 15 nov, 2015 @ 5:00
There seems to be a bit of scepticism for this mod. The facility looks great and it certainly fills a niche. The power it generates is certainly a good substitute for the data security it would otherwise provide in real life. In that respect, this mod is ahead of the game itself :) Thanks GCVos.

Yes but what we lack in Cities Skylines are hi-tech industries. So far I have seen very few industrial buildings and the ones that are on the workshop are mainly old and dirty type industries. I want to see some hi-tech stuff you know, like in SC4. I'd like to see some microchip plants, solar plants, computer shops etc. Superconductor type assets that look hi-tech, not old and grimey.

This is why I thought with this current asset you have, it wouldn't be hard to shape it into another type of structure. Afterall, you've already done it once so it shouldn't be so hard the next time.
GCVos  [skapare] 2 okt, 2015 @ 15:21
Cool, try it, can always unsub! It's very much eye candy moreso than really gameplay intended. Still I like having a powerful alternative to solar without having to build expensive nuclear :D And it offers a lot of jobs

I am planning to do more industrial stuff, possible carry over these textures to growables or a cargo station. Residential I'm probably not getting into any time soon, I think there are plenty of assets for it already. I do agree there's still a lot of assets without illumination, it takes time to add it and make it look good. thanks!

You know what GCVos, I'll subscribe to this and give it a go. It might serve well as eye candy in my industrial park. Any chance you could do anymore like this, but hi-tech industrial style like in Sim City 4?
Darth Modus - God of Richards 1 okt, 2015 @ 17:06
That's what I thought and this is why for me it doesn't make 100% sense. However, its great that you believe so much in this building of yours and to be honest I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can do.

Here's an idea. There's a lot of residential buildings right now that haven't been updated which I've had to sadly unsubscribe to because they're leaving black holes on the map when it turns to night. So it kind of ruins the immersion for me if you know what I mean. Now this may be a small deal for some, but what gets me and I think a few others playing this game is the fact that we can immerse ourselves in it for long periods of time.
Maybe, it would be great if you could make some new modern residential buildings, starting with low res then high. I've seen the quality of your work and its good.

Ideally this would not have been a power plant to begin with, but there's no such thing as 'data' or 'internet' in this game. I could pretend it makes sense but this just serves as a gameplay purpose.
Darth Modus - God of Richards 1 okt, 2015 @ 16:11
OK, so this building has solar panels which power the generators? Shouldn't it only power the building alone and not act like a power plant?
GCVos  [skapare] 1 okt, 2015 @ 16:10
Generators
Darth Modus - God of Richards 1 okt, 2015 @ 16:10
How? I get that its got solar panels, but how else is it creating power?
GCVos  [skapare] 1 okt, 2015 @ 16:08
What don't you get? It produces power.
Darth Modus - God of Richards 1 okt, 2015 @ 15:48
I also don't get it.
boshk11 28 sep, 2015 @ 19:47
i dont get it.
GCVos  [skapare] 26 sep, 2015 @ 14:04
Hate to break it to you, but the average data center looks very boring. This is inspired by SUPERNAP 7 & 8 and the Terremark NAP in Miami.
BrokenDreams 26 sep, 2015 @ 12:36
This is nice, but looks nothing like an actual data center. Granted, I like the generators and such, but speaking from experience, high end, mission critical data centers are the last facilities that scream "Data Center". They look much less descriptive than this.
serotonine 26 sep, 2015 @ 8:05
This is fab! We want more!
GCVos  [skapare] 26 sep, 2015 @ 7:34
I slightly increased water usage, I actually see the value in the description is incorrect, I'll update it so it show the ingame value.

A water producing variant is an interesting suggestion, though I don't think it would be very realistic. You can however expect me to create more assets like this, because I'm really digging the style. :D
Gladast. 25 sep, 2015 @ 8:08
Would be nice if it had a version for Water! *Like a watertower but dosent get affected by ground pollution*
all12jus 23 sep, 2015 @ 18:51
This should probably use more water. But looks awesome.
Mizral 23 sep, 2015 @ 18:20
sick! I hope it will be updated for after dark ! :summermoon:
Foxpoop 23 sep, 2015 @ 8:26
Neat, be cool to have a complete set of different data centers. Like the huge commercial data centers of Google. Nice work.
soulardf_21 23 sep, 2015 @ 6:49
an industry that actually looks like an industry!!!
