Well i thought to check out this series of work... have to say took some time figuring out the switchs at Oak Point... getting to grips with the CSX signalling too...sometimes i got this weird instruction (ATC) that my loco was speeding as the speed limit was 0...bu the actual speed limit was 15..maybe something to do with the signals..anyway a good start.. looking fwd to the others...

I know you have to wait a little for the brakes to release. That's all I remember from that loco, its been awhile.
ravensview 9 May, 2020 @ 4:54pm
I checked the brakes again - when I set over 10 lb, the throttle moves and the engine sound increases but the power meter doesn't move into the green - stays right at zero. I'm thinking I need another trouble ticket to DTG
RBJets  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 3:49pm
Yea the brakes are funny, just brake early and it takes a little bit to release once stopped.
ravensview 2 May, 2020 @ 2:58pm
I'm really enjoying this series - I like all of yours. I'm on Supply to Grand Central now.
My only problem - not your fault - is with the brakes on the SD40-2 CSX. I like to run with a bit applied, especially when switching. 8 lbs almost is pretty good, but the next increment 12 lbs is as good as full, can't even start rolling.

Hi there RB, just joined this series, and it's off to the usual great start. I always enjoy getting a look at all of those seldom used parts of these routes, but I can rely on you to give me a good tour. Also like the little surprise additions to the scenery, such as the police car right in front of the bucket of the large loader at Hunts Point Yard. It looked like a scene from "The Italian Job" he he.
Thanks again, looking forward to progressing this series.
Cheers, Warren.

I try to keep a rotation of 4 to 5 scenarios going but the popular one's I'll try to keep them coming more than others. I'm uploading one here in a few minutes.
rheitzman 5 Feb, 2017 @ 7:31am

RBJets  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 7:17am

gasman222 29 Oct, 2015 @ 9:41am
WOW!! What a workout you gave us!! I can't recall a scenario with 29 instructions, took me longer than 75 minutes, but I am old and have to ponder the 2D maps a while so I can set the switches correctly. Did I say I REALLY ENJOYED this one?! Quite challenge and a good tour of this area. Thanks for keeping the garbage away from the loco, and I enjoyed the leaning cars, had to be gentle not to tip them over! All in all a very fine scenario, I am impressed and have D/L all your scenarios and can't wait to see what other tricks you have up your sleeve! Congrats on the baby, get the epidural!!!(Hint Hint!!)
