Well, I started this with an asteroid at the base. It took me alot of work (12h+) but the good thing about doing it this way in-game is that you have way more options to place materials in the "world". When using programs like the SE toolkit you can only choose between 2 different materials. Using programs to sculpt your own asteroid is a good way to start but in my opinion one has to edit it in-game anyway. I used SketchUp to make a sphere and managed to get a "small Planet" but it still took some in-game editing of the thing to make it look appealing. :) thanks on gratz man :) appreciate it

a ok i know this way:) but i thougt you have a programm for it to make it easier and not so time consuming.
how long did it take to make it ?I used sculptris months ago to experiment with and sculpt my own asteroids but good work !

and also you have to spawn an asteroid and work within its boundaries (greenish box around the asteroid) .

In creative mode, you have the option to eqiup "voxel hands" in-game. it is similar to painting ships just with various materials like iron, gold, rock etc.

how do you voxel Paint ?

Thanks. I recently finished the "tiny planet" with resources.

I will try, but for now I've got 2 ships to finish and 1 Planet :)

MAKE MORE :)
jarhead 28. juli 2015 kl. 16:31
that works so long as you have a good computer with a lot of ram and video prosessing power

Jarhead this really would be nice :) but I doubt that its playable for me at least.

Check out my guide and let me know what you think of it.

now imagine that on a 65km diameter one

thanks jarhead. I havent seen the one from laststandgamers. I have a look at it.

i saw the one arron from laststandgammers did (1kmx1kmx300m) and it looks good but is made of several asteroids instead of one (no copy paste for that one) and has alot of mod voxels (not looking for those). since this is the only non-mod one out currently it is by far the best one I have seen so far.

Hey Jarehead, I did not upload the 500X500 because it is unfinished and Cy-One did the Terrain work and I am not sure how and when we continue the project. I would make more of the smaller ones as these are easier to do but still require alot of work.
jarhead 26. juli 2015 kl. 15:55
I still like this (may try doing a cut/paste bit to get a larger area but will be repetitive).
Did you post the 500x500 one? If so could give a link for it?
Can you make a few more of that size?
<----- Sitting with fingers crossed.

I`ll check it out Neverathome. I hope you have more patients than I do :). Jarehead, yes it really sucks :( but I try to do as best as I can. Anyway thank you guys :)
jarhead 26. juli 2015 kl. 12:08
ok thanks (and that sucks about hardware limits)
Neverathome 26. juli 2015 kl. 12:06
Nicely done, making something familiar atm :)

Hey, Jarehead. I would do the bigger ones, but I doubt that my Hardware could handle the size. I recently did a similar thing with a 500mX190mX500m and my FPS dropped drasticly. So for now my creativity is limited by my hardware. Also it would take me a while to get that kind of detail going.
jarhead 25. juli 2015 kl. 19:34
Would you be interested in making more of these that are bigger (1km x 1km x 100m)?
If so then I am trying to get a total of 16 for now (of the 1km x 1km x 100m size).
J̶͎̀0̷̘͠B̵̞͛A̴̘̚  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2015 kl. 18:19
Thanks JD . and Jarhead yes this is one asteroid size is 100X90X100 blocks
jarhead 25. juli 2015 kl. 17:17
size?
is this one asteroid file or several?
if this is one asteroid file I could paste this onto the surface of a 65km planet that i found in se source code (i am trying to find as amny of these as i can to make 1 full planet then use a grav mod to allow for realistic grav)
JD.Horx 25. juli 2015 kl. 16:00
Wow nice! Definetely got to try this out !!!
But natural gravity will be a must have...
