@Gufo10, For the small grid medium drive, that's about right.

This jump drive existed long before the vanilla ones, so the stats do not align up with that one. The base values are much lower, but can be expanded further with upgrade modules.

I can only get 38km out of the medium drive, is this a bug?

There must be something i am missing, i can only get this to charge at 200Kw? Says 4.66Mw max input, my reactor is putting out 9Mw and it's primarily hydrogen base

Because my intention was always to have the single size block in the main mod, but many users requested it, so I added this.
Whaddageek 15. feb. 2017 kl. 17:06
Why not just put it in the base mod?
draeath 8. feb. 2017 kl. 20:47
Aaah, I follow.

Sorry to keep annoying you with inane stuff!

@draeath Look closer. The only one present in the main one is the Large one. The Small and Medium blocks are only defined in this mod. You will see a reference in the BlockVariants section on the main mod, but that's because I need it there so it doesn't matter which order in the mod list these two appear.

I mean the cubemaps definitions that this here requires already seem to be present in the main mod. This one seems redundant in that respect. If you add this in, you're just redefining the same type/subtypes?
Gwindalmir  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2017 kl. 17:36
@draeath, Yes. As this does not include the scripts.
draeath 6. feb. 2017 kl. 4:28
Is this still "required?" Looks like you have the same Subtype IDs defined in the main mod?

btw 1 more important difference- you dont have to know the coordinates, only the distance.

I didn't look into the fuel yet, but I posted an update adding the superconductor. Reactor and thruster components have been reduced by about half to balance.

I intend to rebalance this with the superconductor component. I will look into seeing if using a fuel is possible now as well.

@RAmar, the biggest differences are: You don't have to be seated to use it, it will jump floating objects and unconnected ships inside or close by, and doesn't require confirmation which means it can be automated by programming blocks and sensors.
As for the power drain, the advanced version fixes that too. I added capacitors, which will be activated while the drive is spooling. This will help keep your ship systems from browning out.
Keep in mind this exact one here is only an add-on, you still need to resub to the original as well. This just adds different sized models.
If these features aren't important to you, then you are welcome to keep using the vanilla version. Thanks for asking about it!

I unsubscribed from the original FTL mod when Jump Drive was released. What advantages does FTL Advanced have over Jump Drive? Last I checked, FTL (original) ate an epic ton of power that always shut down all other systems on my ships when recharging and it's distance was impractical for the cost in power and recharge time compaired to Jump Drive. So hope this has something worth the subscribe. I can't be bothered to subscribe and test it myself as it would break my world just to slap it in there and it takes hours to put it in without break, so please I need to know details.

@FlameSword, yeah, I added it months ago.
FlameSword 23. juli 2015 kl. 20:43
Wow, you're allowed to use the sound? if so that'd be great, but it's not a problem
Gwindalmir  [ophavsmand] 23. juli 2015 kl. 18:43
@FlameSword, Someone else made the model and texture for me. However it's just a standard san serif font. I didn't even realize it looked the same. If it's a problem I can certainly change it. However I've already spoken to the FTL devs and they are aware of this mod (I asked them for the FTL jump sound, which they graciously provided), and they didn't mention any issues to me.

Hmm... were you by any chance inspired for the way the letters look in "FTL" by the same way the title looks in the game FTL: Faster Than Light? The style looks precisely the same. Not that I'd say it's copyrighted and you stole it, no, but just saying...
