I don't know how you came up with your numbers for this mod, but it works perfectly. Now the only thing I have to worry about is those darn arrow towers.

Will you please update this mod?

"FFmod Totally Reduced Friendly"

Thank you!

@TorquevonThorne
Interesting point, I never tried with siege weapons since I use them only manually and than hold fire. In theory it should work for them as well, but I cannot guarantee that they won’t cause friendly fire to some degree.

I find the biggest problem are not throwing weapons, but the small onagers. Hope this will solve the issue

Thank you for this mod. Have had no issues and friendly fire is actually reasonable now.

@Fizzet713
I don't have 1295 medieval installed but it should work with any mod that doesn’t change this behavior. And if a mod does that than the fix the friendly fire mechanic so it should be fine either way, no crashes should occur with my mod as well, it's very small.

@kAs3
sorry I won't mod anything new at the moment, but in Rome 2 it's not so bad as in Attila it think
Fizzet 17. feb. 2018 kl. 4:46
does it work with 1295 medieval mod ???

PLEASE port this mod to Rome 2
Axeface 14. aug. 2016 kl. 16:03
Thanks for the explanation!

It is a very little mod and compatible with almost anything, the worst case scenario is my values are over writte nby an other mod and the game uses that ones. So its always safe to use with any mod no crashes should occur. Compatible to any patch of Attila

Hey! This sounds like exactly what im looking for. Does it work with the latest patch/dlcs?

Also, would it work alongside mods like sebidee's better battles (slower combat) or 'Simply Slower Combat'. Thanks

does it work with radious mode and should i restart my gampaign ?

Its very vague from my part. In some situations the crossbows, javelins and slingers are not firing because of a unti standing infront of them, I reduced the awereness of this a little (they don't hit them anyway). Who still wants to avoid all FF, they can still use the "Totally reduced FF Mod" which gives very strong restrictions.
Guvenoren 27. dec. 2015 kl. 16:26
what do you mean fire better?
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2015 kl. 6:59
small update making crossbows and javelins fire better
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 23. okt. 2015 kl. 5:09
Yes it's a problem, most units firing angle is very close to the ground. But I prefer having a unit not fire than firing a volley into my men. Only archer’s work perfectly the rest suffers from the much lower firing arc compared to Rome 2 and need a clear path in front of them.
chopper 22. okt. 2015 kl. 18:08
I've had to disable it for a while since I noticed slingers not firing when close behind allied units in spear shield. They would normally fire without FF in the instance.
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2015 kl. 9:26
The main difference is without it if you are not careful you get hundreds of deaths from ff, now it’s like 10 times smaller
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2015 kl. 9:24
It means in 85-99% of the time friendlies are in the way you get very very reduce casualties. Because my changes will make the firing unit notice when there is something of your own in the way.
I often don't toggle fire at will off, in some constellations it might still be necessary to do so (siege artillery is still better manually controlled).
chopper 20. okt. 2015 kl. 16:54
I'm trying out this mod, but I'm not sure how exactly it is supposed to work. I was diligent with positioning and fire-at-will toggle before using this so I'm not seing a big difference in AI ff.
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 3. juli 2015 kl. 11:10
I'm not 100% sure if it helps at least a little, but I suppose it doesn't fix the main problem. Mostly the towers do too much damage which my mod doesn't change, second the accuracy is the main reason for FF kills. So the towers try to aim at the enemy but hit you instead.
XiRiith 1. juli 2015 kl. 0:02
Hello. Thx for it. Does it reduce the FF kills from the town's towers too ?
oNe & oNLy Rammstein  [ophavsmand] 30. juni 2015 kl. 18:32
Yes, the mod is very simple and small so it's basicly compatible with any other mod and savegame compatible. It only changes 3 values in the database about how ranged units try not to shoot at friendlys.
