@Watkuweis Replacing textures is something that you should already be able to do in the dev kit. With the Unreal Editor blueprints you can open the object and edit the textures through that user interface. Once you edit the texture, you may be required to export the entire map to make that mod available. This is why I used the stripped down DinoArena to start testing the crop plot blueprints.. it's an all or nothing export. So for isntance to mod your telescope texture into the main map would require exporting the entire map as a mod with that added functionality. It seems overkill but I'm still learning it as I go (first time with Unreal Editor, i''m only familair with Unity) And so far no luck with last night's dev kit update.. i'm redownloading it to see if that adds the source code to the kit

GrandPackard , a question... i simply wish to replace a texture background file to the telescope, last month i made the new texture, adding a stylish look and removing the tunnel vision black out that i hate so much when looking through the Spyscope. since then they have added information to objects viewed through the spyglass, an even better reason for me to change the unwanted texture. My question is can a single asset - Modded Spyscope texture - be exported to the workshop and with tonights new access files, allow me to do more then create and upload a map?

No update to the ARK Dev Kit as of this evening. I imagine it will come when the 184.0 patch goes live with the ARK game. Stay tuned in the update discussion though!

Nice concept, doubt the devs would ever do something like this so someone's gotta do it. It'd be nice to check my farms without launching ark from my computer (or maybe even mobile c:)

@Mr. C. This is a mod, not part of the vanilla game. Don't like it, don't playwith it. The server would have to have this installed anyways. A local version might be possible, but I doubt it would work. Even if it did, it would be considered a cheat by VAC and the user banned anyways.
