Works well in my game, Crusade+Snathi only. Included in my ridiculous I think this galaxy is broken collection of random factions.

I have unmodded game, latest ver. 1.82
Have DLCs:
Mega Events, Revenge of the Snathi, Ship Designer's Toolbox, Mercenaries Expansion Pack
Tested on my main machine and on laptop.
Faction available, no errors. :)

Update - Saved leader portrait as PNG-24 instead of PNG-8 to try to get rid of annoying white outline.
