I feel like you should take a look at the single-player version of this mod, adapt some of those changes into this one. Right now, this character has too many downsides to make up for his very modest upsides.

I haven't played this mod yet but from the looks of it, it looks like webber but with nightmare creatures and I love that idea

it should be able to see in darkness, day makes him loose sanity but cant live in full darknes? is limited to only 4 nightmares to tame, and i read nighhtmares will attack him when goes insane, its unique but there is no advantage on it, it feels like a worst character then the others, of course it has to be balanced but not useless, the concept is great but the implementation weak

Hey amazing mod really love this Character. I have played him even before you reworked him and I like the concept of taming Nightmare Creatures. But since this rework he feels kinda at a large disadvantage when it comes to normal characters since nightmare creatures still will attack him once he is insane. I was thinking if you could give him the nightmares are passive to him when insane like the effect that the bone helm gives it's wearer. I really do love the concept and maybe adding customization for how many Nightmare Creatures he can have tamed would be also a cool. Again these are just my suggestions and ideas that would make him a bit better then what he currently is because the only things he can recruit at all are Nightmare creatures unlike for other players they can recruit a bunch of pigmen or bunnymen. It is just a thought for improvement since I love this Character.

On dont strave together as the host, retested it and the world just does not load. and then crashed.

Those are all the mods should be 28 of them. I dont expect you to test each one or even solve the issue but if you were worried about why the game is crashing with your mod. i thought it would be the most helpful to you if i just listed all of my mods. Thank you so much for reading.

i play dont starve together, and it may have been another mod causing the issue. The other mod being a "Chara/Frisk" mod caused issues with the shadow creatures and with this mod changing them too it would just crash. I can try it again without that mod added and see if it still crashes.

Do you have any other mods enabled? On trying, I'm not able to recreate it.

loved this mod but he seems to be crashing my game now on starting a hosted world.

I remember this being one of the first mods I used I never knew it got a rework though.

ahh, one of my favorite characters of all time

I'm new to Don't Starve Together and even more so to modding it. Characters like this allow me to actually be able to play the game AND have fun doing it. Firia and this little nightmare are my personal favorites.

Hey, I think that this mod is really cool, I think for the night vision try and get it to give you the moggles affect, I think that would be really cool, or if you can could you make it toggle able in the configuration menu

Based on the comment dates it looks like you aren't editing this character anymore but in case you do; Night vision doesnt work in caves, character model could use a bit of cleaning up and run animation without legs feels a bit off, nothing that hasnt been posted here already. Otherwise, great concept, hope to see a polished version in the future.

Hey I found a bug with the night vision. It seems that when other players are nearby they can also get the night vision effect. Search for wendov modded character and learn how to make night vision from the dev.

@catarsen06 if you dont want nightvision on your chars i have a very easy solution for you, its the simplest thing in the world my friend, and its absolutely free and takes no file editing whatsoever! ready? the answer is simple; don't download the character, that's right, don't want nightvision on your chars? easy! just play someone else who doesn't have it! costs you nothing at all and everyone still gets to play the way they want to! its a win win! :D

(but really though, if you just want a respawning pet, plenty of other chars have em and many don't have nightvision, so rather than criticize how others play, you can simply look for someone different to play as and be happy just having your own fun, everyone has different tastes, its silly to try to make others play your way instead of their own ^^ also, ps, i'm not trying to be a jerk with the above segment, or at all really, just trying to have a sense of humor and play around a bit)

never make a char that has perma nightvision it ruins one of the main mechanics of the game

i have a few "bug" to tell you:
first, he have no legs, but still do steps and walking sound=
second, when he attack, his ears goes of his head
third, the night vision is really weird, because it just light like if it was the day, then the light goes down, i would do the opposite, cuz the eye need to adapt to the new light level, so i would do darken at the start of the night, then lightier the further the night goes.
and fourth, the same as everybody, the night vision don't work in caves.
also, I saw something that i'm not sure that itis a bug: when he attack with a wepon, he hit with his other paw, and this animation is quite fast, so it might be too strong, because he can land more hits than other character

The modification is very good, but there is one problem, when i roll back, the second terrorbeak is invoked, and the game crashes when it kills and there can be a lot of them, correct either that the second terrorbeak is not called or it could be killed without crashing the game. Thanks for the cool character!

This is great although the nightvision problems, other everything else os awesome!

i think the problem with the night vision is that it triggers "once night starts" but not if night is already in progress before the effect can activate, such as joining a server that is already at nighttime, the reason it doesnt work underground is because regardless of the day night cycle, underground always registers as nighttime constantly, so the effect never detects night "starting" because the cycle is always stuck like that :/ (this may not be accurate though, all i know is that joining a server mid-nighttime causes the effect to not activate until the next night cycles around, and the caves do count as a seperate server than the overworld, and are eternal night), also, bit of a note, other players are protected from charlie just by being anywhere within a massive radius around the person playing nightmare, im not complaining at all mind you, i just think its cool that one player can act as a portable night light for a large group at once by illuminating an entire base

Night vision doesn't works underground.

When I enter in a cave, light save in day and evening. With normal dark places. When night starting, Nightmare dont see in dark and die.

The night vision fix is finally out! You can now die in peace and not have to worry about restarting the server.
