Purple Shep is the name of the announcer for this map. He was a really good minecraft youtuber that stopped making videos in 2019 for whatever reason. And his last words were "ok toasterheads goodbye!" then he was never seen ever again...

where are the sound files saved?

This is one of my favorite maps by far, and its so fun to play

I wish this map is more popular. I love dishonoured and steampunkish maps and this fits both.

Wish it was a capture the flag night map with Mann power mode activated. That would make you feel like a fricking ninja, running around getting headshots, backstabs, and beat downs on poor sods.

Man, I would love to see some new servers hosting this map.. Had lots of fun in it.

@Stric I do like your idea of the Robot/Player destruction server, I may bring that up with Valve over email. Recently I asked them if they planned to put it back into the game somehow, as at the moment it's a bit dead, and they said that they were working on it. I may nudge them soon just with that server idea.

For the glitched custom elements - was that actually fixed on Suijin? I'm not sure why it happens on Highpass, nor on Watergate for that matter, but I could bring that up to them as well.

For the voice acting, about a week into the update they asked me if I was okay with it - and I am, because people found it funny, and it seemed popular, and they shared the same feelings. The delay could be that they intend to have better voice acting but I do not know.

There is also at least one annoying bug still in the gamemode, and perhaps valve is simply waiting for that (bottle appearing on Spy's back sometimes when he picks up the beer too quickly https://youtu.be/Y3fee41UYIk ).

nobody plays this map anymore :( sucks because its better than most maps we get now.

Also, while it was hosted on Invasion event servers, the map suffered from the same issue that Suijin used to (until they patched it) and Highpass does now - when loading the map for the 2nd time in the same TF2 session, the map loads with missing/broken roof textures and some checkered glitched elements in the HUD. Have you found a solution for that - seems to have something to do with Valve servers not unpacking custom assets from the .bsp map file in a specific situation?

Cheers if Egan or anyone else could answer any of the questions, I understand you might not be allowed to talk publicly about Valve's views on the map.

Has there been any indication from Valve that they plan to rotate the map on their servers? Map seems to have been received quite well during the Invasion event, so it seems a shame to see it go almost forgotten after that (such is now the fate of pretty much all maps/modes that aren't hosted on official servers).

Doesn't really fit any of the other gamemode-specific rotation servers, but I could see this ending up on a Robot Destruction/Player Destruction server once Asteroid is officially released, even though the two modes don't have much in common. Hell, add Doomsday, Hydro and Degroot Keep and have a few One-off Specials Mix Valve servers :)

Could Valve be waiting for Ellen McClain to do the proper Administrator voicework for the mode instead of the generic robotic one, or does Valve find the mode unfitting/poorly understood by players to keep it in official rotations?

This map is very amazing,I like the team leader system as it encourages teamwork and coordination as you try to capture beers in the UFO, I also like that there is a timer on each beer pack so players can't just bring it to somewhere and leave it there until they have enough to win and capture it in one shot.overall,great map.hope to see more maps of this type

The voice sounds sort of drunk-ish. If you do eventually get a voice actor or human to do the announcer voice, they should try to sound somewhat similar to the TTS voice, a little bit drunk.

i LOOVEEE this map. the mode is fun and the sheer amount of detail is jaw dropping. hoping for a 24/7 server for this outstanding map <3
