this look like it had some potential. i had an idea like these rails for a mod.
FearOath 15. aug. 2020 kl. 16:12
pretty sure all this is abandoned now, looks like they've just ditched these mods
Moss 23. okt. 2019 kl. 16:52

??????
[SASR] Ryan 26. mar. 2019 kl. 21:50
also when will turns be added??
[SASR] Ryan 26. mar. 2019 kl. 21:49
hi, so the rails etc are working but there is no handbrake option when you come to a full stop.

is there any way you can add this?
odball365 27. jan. 2019 kl. 14:35
would be great for a fighter catapult system

So very cool!

Hopefully trains become more practical (in implementation) in the future, in this game.
Cars and trucks can have a tendency to explode when the wheels kiss the rear underbody of the car with the ground right next to it. Just make sure the reactors and tanks are away from frequent collision zones (high risk areas).

Looks good, but the gravity force is so crapping deadly so when I accidentally stepped on it, I couldn't change my gravity thing from normal to scary. + When i converted my thing from "Station" to "Ship" i just got an massive FPS drop.
UnderFrogg 1. nov. 2017 kl. 8:29
its really a great mod love it can't wait for the curve and inclien track come out...:steammocking:
ShinyPhoenix998 13. juli 2017 kl. 15:33
This is the best rail/train mod i ever seen
Sykkel 20. maj 2017 kl. 9:48
it doesnt work for me, i place it but it doesnt work, its not even glowing
Shifty31 26. nov. 2016 kl. 17:19
how fast its going ? i plan to do hypertrain. just A to B no bends.
stich83guy 18. okt. 2016 kl. 2:56
i would sat if they were locking but able to move freely then i would say ya perfect for alot of things but if they just able to slide off to the side then no but i think if u made each track a v shape where they lock in that way where it would stay in then it would work for a train or even a hanger door but ill do some/alot of testing with this and see what can be done with all the blocks we have now....
Dekiru 27. juli 2016 kl. 7:10
I don't really know what to say right now. I want to build a train to a launch site. that is the real reason for downloading. right now I am struggling to figure out how to let the tracks hook up and how it works. once I figured it out I will comment and let you know what I think. I feel this mod got great potential.
Sektan  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2016 kl. 7:01
This was testing version of this mod, I want update this but I dont know how exactly :) maybe I disable gravity on track or idk :)
Dekiru 27. juli 2016 kl. 6:30
Checking it out. I hope Sektan is still working on it
PainGifter 26. juli 2016 kl. 1:52
How attentive, didn't you guys like you answers?
In the silence can you hear the crickets chirping?
Airomis 5. juli 2016 kl. 14:19
Did you abandon this?
Spock The Builder 21. juni 2016 kl. 7:44
Is this kinda like the MagLev mod?
Claw 26. mar. 2016 kl. 16:01
I really think this mod would be useful for planetary mining. Please almighty Sektan!

This wont be updated anymore?
pgames-food 2. feb. 2016 kl. 20:11
i wonder how this would work if the tracks were placed onto a rotating base platform?
that way the mining train could mine in a straight line and back again, and then someone adjusts the direction of the tracks a little bit by rotating a bit to the right, and the train mines forward and back again.... and then if the whole setup is motorised on a timer, it could rotate a bit more, and mine again and again, until reached, then then the platform is elevated a bit and the process starts again? :)
ortyscholler 9. jan. 2016 kl. 21:42
Hi I was wondering if you will be updating this Mod...
I really like the concept.
I am trying to make a subway system on my planet any thoughts you might have about this would be appreciated.
OrichalcumCosmonaut 13. dec. 2015 kl. 17:21
PLANETS! Possibly use no power on the tracks and no/low mass on train? :steamhappy:
Pokeking 23. nov. 2015 kl. 15:43
havn't used, but if this could turn and go up/down inclined tracks, this would be your space minecart.
Raeffi 16. nov. 2015 kl. 13:11
this needs a rework, would be so useful on planets
Sqweloookle 9. okt. 2015 kl. 4:15
Please tell me you are still working on this mate??
Rikkavidu_GER 22. sep. 2015 kl. 13:16
Oh oh. Buggy. My Station is moving down by unsing this Train. The Idea is good. But this Mod is in this Version unusable. The "Trains" are moving the big Ship. Ship has no Energy. Why the Trains move the Ship with no Energy? Hmm. And when the Ship is on the Track, completely Station is moving down, lol.
JWA 13. sep. 2015 kl. 23:58
Making it work for small blocks would be nice...
Bored Potato 12. sep. 2015 kl. 12:58
so you can move around a corner?
Bored Potato 12. sep. 2015 kl. 12:57
how do you make the train turn?
DanDuan 9. sep. 2015 kl. 14:23
HI. I really new to Space Engineers. I was wondering if someone might help me get this working for me.. i watched to video over and over again and cant seem to understand this.
I really would like to get this train/track working in my station.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ^^
MisterMann 30. aug. 2015 kl. 6:28
Will this ever get switch tracks?
Torkkar 27. aug. 2015 kl. 12:35
Olauph if you want a Turntable use 1 piston 1 rotor 9 armor blocks 3 tracks no need for a special block that would essentialy be a giant rotor
Shadowreaver 16. aug. 2015 kl. 1:13
why i am thinking of launch tracks for my torpedo....
Bud Liteyear 14. aug. 2015 kl. 13:53
What about a train turn table. Its what they use to turn trains around to face the oposite direction of a track.

A turn table could allow you to use straight sections and connect routs leading in different directions.
Bud Liteyear 14. aug. 2015 kl. 13:51
As it stands, it can only go forward and backwards. So its not much for a long distance transport. But, it can work great for getting from one side of a station to another. I can see this as a really neat transit for getting around a really large space station. It'd be even neeter when it can turn and make a full circuit.
Lex174 12. aug. 2015 kl. 10:53
@Ghostrapt3r: No way, because if the ship will move, the Train blocks will fly away from the Tracks - Better use them on a station and/or lock them when the ship is moving.
Lex174 12. aug. 2015 kl. 10:51
@ MattPlaysSimulations; bobby72006: Curved tracks aren't a good idea in any case, 'cause if you put the Train blocks too much away from each other you won't be able to go forward in the curve.
Lex174 12. aug. 2015 kl. 10:48
@Jesemus Chrism: Yes, it is. Can't you look at the video and photos?

@Sektan: Gravity 20m x 20m x 20m is too much, it makes walking around it pretty bad.
Try 3m x 3m x 3m - That is exactly one large block so when you fit the Train block in the Track one, it should be fine.
dillonrine 9. aug. 2015 kl. 13:59
this looks perfect for launching fighters. like a launch catapult
Razordor 8. aug. 2015 kl. 18:36
I like this Idea.
Big Spooky 27. juli 2015 kl. 13:53
is it just a block
BeanSlinger419 19. juli 2015 kl. 13:23
to turn the rail
BeanSlinger419 19. juli 2015 kl. 13:23
i got a cool idea if we want corners thats a bad idea but we can use roters
OrichalcumCosmonaut 18. juli 2015 kl. 3:56
@MattPlaysSimulations A [complex-ish] way to create corners could be to use pistons and a rotor, but it would be a BIT hard :|
flori1994 14. juli 2015 kl. 12:20
you train rails are great
MattPlaysSimulations 12. juli 2015 kl. 14:04
love this. any idea when corner sections coming out? need them for my WIP project. great work keep it up
