I keep encountering a bug where Walter's face is always facing the oppisite direction of the way he is walking when he is a ghost.

This is such an intersting mod! I haven't tested yet but he reminds me of wig but switched roles.

I am thinking of making a mod compilation called "DST Extended: Balanced and Lore-Friendly Characters" on the steam workshop featuring about 10 of the best character mods. I will give credit and link the creator and original page, as well as make balance tweaks to each character.

Personally I love the mod , it makes it more challenging for me to deal with only eating veggies & having the slow movement. But , sadly enough his head is really huge and some of the hats just don't look right. The only complaint I have.

you can wear a magiluminsence to further boost speed, as its an amulet that boosts by 20%, making him faster than normal speed (100%)

Too many drawbacks, even if his traits are cool and unique. Due to how small amount of hunger vegetables restore, his 25% lower reduction doesn't mean much. His speed penalty is also a terrible problem, this character requires an immediate buff.
If You mind my advices, I'd give him 33% hunger loss reduction and make his crops grow faster. His speed reduction is, however, the biggest problem. I'd suggest You to change the speed reduction to touch him based on one of his parameters (low sanity/hunger/health). This speed reduction is just too much of an issue compared to his low benefits to make him a balanced character.
On the other hand, he fits into Don't Starve atmosphere very well.
Also, if Walking Cane's bonus is based on his vanilla speed, then even holding it he will walk slower than most other characters without it (75% + (25%x75%) = 75% + 18,75% = 93,75% < 100%). And still, he cannot boost his speed any further.

I love this guy. He fits right into the base characters and trades a lot to do something that you might not think is all that powerful, but allows you to change your strategy a whole bunch. I wish he had a voice and finished lines, but he's still one of the best out there.

I really do love this mod, but it was abandoned in a server with stronger modded characters. The balancing is much closer to that of standard DS characters, but maybe a little too much? I get that he's a base tender, but being slow and unable to eat meat (which is most crock pot recipies, too) is kind of a big loss for just being able to make winter crops- which really doesnt raise his survivablility over a normal character who could just hunt through the winter anyways, using a morsel and ice to make meatballs. Anf having the walking cane is a cool counterbalance, but does not help much in a fight, leaving him less powerful or unable to kite larger enemies.

Love the concept, not a huge fan of the execution. 6/10

Hands down - my favourite modded character there is.

Fantastic! Great job, he fits in well and is very fun to play. Well-balanced as well, which is sadly uncommon for a lot of character mods.
