I was not expecting to find this on the workshop! Hometown pride right here!

My house used to be by the main gate of this place and loved going there just about every weekend when I was growing up.

Really nice model, but the LOD is kind of messed up.

fun fact, actually two entirely separate buildings with a glass atrium between them.

Aww! I grew up on the west side of Chicago and we often took Sunday drives to Batavia and St. Charles and I always asked my dad to drive us by the Fermilab. It was so modern and mysterious to me. Thanks for building it!

Slightly off topic, but...
--Palace of Fine Arts in San Francsico--
would be an awesome asset to have.

I live right next to FermiLab! It's so awesome to see an asset from there I can put in my city! And Guapo is right, there's still Bison on the grounds, and there is a lot of open grass. There's a handful of buildings for scientists to stay in, and a few others, but it's mostly open area. The grounds are about the same size as the actual town I live in (approx 25K pop) and the size is mostly just needed for the accelerator rings. It's a great place to jog or bike ride. Most of the grounds are basically a park, just with a bit more security of course, lol.

You should add some Bison/wildlife.
From wikipedia: "In 1967, Wilson brought five American Bison to the site, a bull and four cows, and an additional 21 were provided by the Illinois Department of Conservation. Some fearful locals believed at first that the bison were introduced in order to serve as an alarm if and when radiation at the laboratory reached dangerous levels, but they were assured by Fermilab that this claim had no merit. Today, the herd is a popular attraction that draws many visitors[8] and the grounds are also a sanctuary for other local wildlife populations"

Fermilab is actually surrounded by feilds of wildgrass irl.

I like this but it's all grass around the base, which looks weird in an urban setting. There needs to be pavement at least to the entrances from the edges of the lot.
