the only way i see would be using of atmodpheric engines in groubs with a sensor based hovering

i would think all it needs is an update to mods. honestly, though, i have no motivation for that since i tend to be busy with other projects or real life these days (thus why my new ship content has been quite slow). i've also become heavily disillusioned with mods, seeing as half my creations are broken because mod authors stop updating or switch things out.

not to vent or sound pessimist, mod authors are free to do what they want. but i say that so you'll understand my reasons. regardless, if you're up for updating the tank with newer mods, i'm all for letting people do that, and can add it into the collection as the new version

is there a way to make this planet ready?
Slader Harkeness 29. nov. 2015 kl. 14:41

it's fine, feel free to upload your own. just cite for inspiration if you will

hello, i made a tank based off yours. its chasis is near identical in most of the craft. this one is more up to date, in that it works in atmosphere. before i publish i want to know how much credit you want, or if you would rather upload it yourself. feel free to send me a friend request if you dont want to discuss this here.

@Corvid - last i tested, you cannot remote control a turret while someone else is piloting the craft (you get the 'someone else is using this ship' message) so a gunner becomes pointless, and a pilot can only control the turret when stationary.

@Webmind - stealthy torpedo ship would be this, though not exactly u-boat style: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=485874745

Out of curiosity, would controlling the turret through a Gyroscope/control block combo break it? It'd be a fair bit more intuitive than a control panel.

The cover photo looks kinda like a U-boat; have you made a submarine equivalent (stealthy torpedo ship) yet?
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2015 kl. 17:33
yes it is conveyored
Thorn Phone 8. apr. 2015 kl. 17:20
Is the turret conveyored up? Is there an advanced rotor in there or what?
Looks awesome!
The turret reminds me of a 40k predator battle tank.

I just want to say that your hover tanks inspired me to work on something of a similar design in my own little series. Not quite a tank, but by researching the system you used for the Slepnir, I was able to make a stable repulsorsled - The Horizonline Industries 'Dart'!

SuspiciousCheese 25. mar. 2015 kl. 11:21
how di you make 1x1 lcd panels, they always build as 3x3?
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2015 kl. 17:26
refer to the description above. "Hovering" Subsection
LordBUM 21. mar. 2015 kl. 16:49
how di you get the tank to huver like that
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2015 kl. 14:56
yes the ammo display is realtime, thanks to the Configurable LCDs: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403921671
Lynnuxx 21. mar. 2015 kl. 12:24
Looks like the automated LCD script, so it's not aesthetics.
The cockpit design is really cool.
Survivor12 21. mar. 2015 kl. 7:40
Does the ammo display actually change when you put ammo in it or is it just for asstetics? If it does change can you tell me how you did it?

reminds me of the HoverDyne from Ground Control mixed with the light TerraDyne from the same game
