You can, the tool I use is ktools, then I use spriter for my animations themselves after i work on the png pieces of the chester family members. If you can help me out that would be great, it would help free up time for me to draw up the new chester I wanted to start working on but been a bit overwhelmed because I don't want to release a new chester or start working on one without the others being fixed.

I'll still look into it on a day I have of where Im not dead tired and see if it helps but each animation uses multiple png files to make up one entity

@eldvarg this is a known issue with all of the chester members except for Afester. IT is an animation issue because the original chester animations got updated for boats and my animationsare now missing a couple of 'pieces' that dst added to their animations for chester. Until I have time to decompile every chester one by one and recompile after making the missing body pieces to add into the animations, this is going to be like this unfortunately.

This mod will work with an existing world but the chesters will not spawn in the world. The games mechanics themselves with how the game code and engine works make it so once everything on the world spawns, there's no spawning in something new naturally. You will need to spawn in the eyebones yourself on a already premade world.

@silver wolf only a couple of the chesters have sanity auras. If you don't like them feel free to disable the chesters themselves.

I've only been at my new job for about a month, my focus will first be with updating the animations for the chesters who all have the disappearing issue. From my tests you can still see their feet -insert funny foot jokes here- I'm really hoping to sit down and hammer out the animations over the next few weeks, life has been a bit of a whirlwind.

So I been just browsing through the code for fun. Some fun things I've learned about afester.

Afester has 3 transformations and will transform at any given night:
Shellster - spister - 9 monster meat - 9 slots - Appears as a Cave Spider
Fluffy - sluster - 9 light bulbs - 12 slots - Looks like a Slurper
Webster - spitster - 9 spider eggs - 9 slots - Appears as a Spitters Spider

I'll consider that but recently I came up with an idea for a chester that has to do with the mushrooms in the game... I just gotta research the code a bit for what I plan on doing

Would be cool to have a Chester toddler. Small in size and space, can make enemies loose interest on rare occasions.

Mabel I have been dealing with a lot, I have been running this mod since 2015. The animation issue is not game breaking and does not cause any crashes. I am in the middle of training for my new job and life has not slowed down for me. Just be patient and it will happen.

You use them the same way you would morph chester himself. One piece for each slot in the inventory. This is info that's generalized because they are still chesters after all.

I've read the thread but it doesn't clearly explain how the morphs work. Take Afester for example, It says something about spider eggs and monster meat but doesn't explain how to use them on afester

I used to use the my pet mod a long time ago. The mod itself broke ages ago and it kept having problems like what you are experiencing plus what other people are experiencing in the newer version of the my pet mod. My mod is a direct stand alone, and only links back to the original chester files. My pet sadly is a shell of its former self. As for the pings and such I saw you add me as a friend on Steam so maybe later today we can take a look together. I start my new job on Monday so I have free time through this weekend to iron out any game breaking bugs.

replace the word prefab with any of the chester eyebones
The prefab debug list for the eyebones so you can manually spawn them in if you so choose:
Bluster: bluechester_eyebone
Big Daddy: bigdaddy_eyebone
Afester: afestertoy
Dubster: partybone
Cavester: glowbone
Stovester: ladle

@kooky112 so I tried that, and I still don't see the items spawn. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. do they spawn at camp or just in the world? could you write out the full spawn text and I can just copy it?

@Rylilla you need to use the command line hitting the tilde key and typing in c_spawn"insert name of eyebone here" when you do this if for any reason you log on and the corresponding chester starts walking away then follow it and it'll lead you to the original eyebone.

I have a question. I've managed to find all the Chests beside Big Daddy and Stovster and I've explored the entire map. I know it says I can summon them but I'm unsure where exactly I'm meant to do that and what to type (besides the text above, I dunno if more is needed) can someone help? might be a bit to ask, but any chance you could allow us the config to make chesters moveable between cave and topside? either that or allow us to choose which spawns where. Sometimes I get favored chesters in the less favored of the two areas, such as getting fridge chester in cave when I would like them topside.

Cavester glows, Dubster should still be dropping stuff unless that broke. I've just been very busy and found out recently my full time job is laying off my entire department permanently and sending it overseas. Only thing I can think of with the sanity aura is the code itself for the game changed and I have to find whatever widget they've changed and fix it

there is a way to disable the sanity gain from the others? cuz rn every single of them gives sanity and its kinda broken depending on the way that one wants to play, the cavester and the dubster does the same thing right? just changes the skin, tried to kill dubster a few times and didint drop anything, would be fair to only dubster to have the sanity aura and the glowstick one to be the one glowing

@Keh;er if you read my description, any mod that requires the [API]Gem Core mod will not work with my mod. I've extensively tested this one, the other mod that conflicts with this one is the invincible chesters mod. Anything else has not caused me issues.

Is this going to be updated after the big game update this year? I have mod conflicts and I'm not sure if this is one of the troublesome ones. I love this mod and want it.

The amount of chesters that will spawn on your map is all of them Bluster, Big Daddy, Afester, Dubster, Cavester, and Stovester. If you're not finding them then they may have spawned on an island. They can travel on boats though so don't worry too much about it

@Zul this is a known bug, I am just now starting to get back on my feet and find time for myself for the first time in the last few years so I can rework the animations. What happened is DST made a slight change to the chester animation itself which added a new 'piece' to the animation itself. I can do a temp fix for this, or I can do what I'd prefer which is an entire rework and clean up the lines and make the chesters more 'high def'.

@kooky112 The bodies of some chesters disappear when the leader object is above the chester. To fix this, I made the following modifications:
