yeah this has some corruption, I used like 4 of them and all these random infinity shaped things kept showing up and ruining the landscape
kamran.behzad 13. aug. 2018 kl. 12:03
I've used this more than once and I like it in general. One problem with the design is because of so many branches and dead-ends we regularly get streets that are not visited by police or garbage collection trucks.
Mr.SaltySaint 21. juli 2018 kl. 1:23
Nice layout.
I got one question: How did you manage to create an asset of this size in the editor? Haven't found the option to increase the size of the buildable area so far and I have some ideas on new district layouts myself.
DieserLasse 3. jan. 2018 kl. 9:15
This helped me a lot! Thank you so much. I even enjoyed reading through the study you kindly provided.
Yeah, to be true it remains to be a bit buggy when it comes down to overlapping roads. I had to slightly modify the asset, but that wasn't too hard.
Thanks again!:steamhappy:
uffegustafson 26. okt. 2017 kl. 10:01
Bugs, Dosent work. roads overlapping and cars cant acess and you cant erase or rebuild.
erbnate 8. aug. 2017 kl. 17:34
Don't use, broken. See comments about map corruption.
nobody willsee this video right? 20. feb. 2017 kl. 2:07
this is a great item.
i really like how much time it saves me that i would have spent min\maxing things till i got it as efficient as this.
Shrike 7. jan. 2017 kl. 9:16
thx

ok
DANi  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2017 kl. 17:32
@LimonJohn
You should send a bug request to the developers. It was built with the ingame editor. Maybe its because it was made with the early versions, no idea. Sorry :(
Shrike 6. jan. 2017 kl. 13:49
bugs
NotaBear 6. dec. 2016 kl. 13:43
sadly, with the tree lined streets, this asset is not useable straightaway
sag032 18. nov. 2015 kl. 9:40
AFAIK, the bug is not fixed.
Sherriff buford T justice 10. nov. 2015 kl. 12:42
so is the bugs fixed now ? thx
DANi  [ophavsmand] 16. okt. 2015 kl. 9:20
@GoatMutt
Yeah sure
GoatMutt 11. okt. 2015 kl. 21:07
Would it be okay to modify this design to only have tree-free roads for starting cities?
elboletaire 15. sep. 2015 kl. 10:06
Why not just remove the surrounding roads? I've made my own templates from yours without the surrounding roads and then is easier to place them.
watspam 19. aug. 2015 kl. 14:53
Mysteriouser and mysteriouser!

I love the attempt though.

It seems that it might, maybe, possibly, be something to do with placing it, then deleting it, then placing it again. Sometimes when I delete one, some fillable street squares stay behind, but with no street attached, and they cannot be removed.
DANi  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2015 kl. 10:11
Sry I have no Idea why that is. I just made this in the Editor so my guess is a bug in there somehow.
watspam 18. aug. 2015 kl. 9:43
I had a glitch similar to Cris Espi. Any fixes in sight?
Cris Espi 11. juli 2015 kl. 17:44
I put 2 of these templates together, saved my game and when I reloaded it glitched the map like this: http://i.imgur.com/SiGVFpL.jpg You should put a warning so others don't lose all their progress too.

I'm having this problem with this mod where its too tempting just to plop down premade blocks everywhere for everything, and it makes the game boring and my city monotonous... But seriously, great mod!
Luna Wildpawe 17. apr. 2015 kl. 16:06
Had the same issue with this bugging the map and saves where its used. Happens even if I try the workaround described earlier. Shame that they can't be connected together because it saved a lot of space. Hope it can be fixed but until then I'll just avoid using this.
Citycop 16. apr. 2015 kl. 2:30
Not only destroyed my city but somehow managed to retroactivley destroy all the quicksave games before the glitch happened where I used this mod. Whether or not this is the mods fault is irreleavnt. Use this mod knowing that your city will be destroyed eventually.
DieserLasse 12. apr. 2015 kl. 7:54
one more thing. Although I carefully remove crossing roads and rebuild them, still sometimes it fucks up my entire savegame. In order to find the missing road-crosses I usually save my game, connect grids, reconnect intersections and to make sure: quicksave (F1) and quickload (F4). If everything looks good after quickloading, I am well-off to continue building
ZNOHER 10. apr. 2015 kl. 11:35
great ty
DieserLasse 7. apr. 2015 kl. 3:48
I discovered a workaround
once you connect grids you will find that there are roads crossing each other without intersecting. This leads to the problem observed earlier. You have to manually demolish and re-build some roads and make sure they are connected and form intersections
olivaw2go 3. apr. 2015 kl. 21:04
I hope the bug that @Bloodhit observed is fixed soon.
MarkusKastenberg 30. mar. 2015 kl. 3:30
Does this also work for high density residential zones?
Bloodhit 28. mar. 2015 kl. 2:17
Connecting multiple templates, and then save/loading, make roads, on the point of connection, go absolutely crazy creating roads under the map connecting to the other random roads.

DO NOT connect templates:cell:
roberto tomás 26. mar. 2015 kl. 18:13
@NBC (author) — are there no traffic lights in the whole grid? pretty cool
FleischYT 23. mar. 2015 kl. 13:18
So any tip how to avoid the bug ?
Slippin Jimmy 22. mar. 2015 kl. 3:36
@Nerdy Beer Castle
Thanks for the reply. I understand.
The cost is about 30,000 with downgraded roads, so works fine for my startout though.

Also you might want to post a warning about the ingame bug might cause hidden roads when using an assert this big. I too have experienced it when using the assert.
While it is not the fault of you (even selfmade big assert do the same), you can warn people to be carefull and watchfull so they can delete the roads after placement and stop blaming you for "destroying" thier cities lol :P

Thanks anyway :)

DANi  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2015 kl. 17:28
@Stoposto
This isn't made for starting out, it was never designed for that. If someone wants that, thats why I made another smaller version. This one here is BIG and it costs alot. It has those roads for a reason. I rather just have this one and people can load it in asset editor and change it to their own preferences instead of me flooding the workshop with the same item slightly modified just to fulfill everybody's wishes. Everybody feel free to recreate and/or modify this pattern.
Serjoe 21. mar. 2015 kl. 11:18
Yeah i think its a bug from Cities skylines. i get this glitched underground streets when i reload the game. i could continue my game when i deleted them. its quite hard though as you have to carefully look for the spot that allows you to remove them.
Slippin Jimmy 21. mar. 2015 kl. 8:13
@Nerdy Beer Castle
I like the pattern and all, but your use of higher milestone roads, makes it unusable when starting out and planning a city. I have used the Assert Tool with the Extended Roads Mod, to downgrade the roads without changing the layout. Plus it is very easy to upgrade the roads back when you read the milestone needed. I wont steal your work and upload the asserts, but maybe if you have time you should think about doing it :)

If not, atleast people have small guide so they can use this as a workaround if they need it, feel free to add it to description, formulated in real english, if you like :P

@Thadian
If you want VFG-A, just follow the pattern the vanilla game offers when laying down road, thats pretty much it :P
DANi  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2015 kl. 5:32
Relax guys. I made a street pattern in the asset editor of the game. If your game breaks it might be a bug that you should report to CO or some other mods that integrate into the game code.
DΞNNIS 21. mar. 2015 kl. 2:49
thanks for destroying my city, DONT DOWNLOAD THIS SHIT!
Sol 20. mar. 2015 kl. 21:53
I use sidewalks in between dead zones to increase mobility. Great grid. I would like VFG-A, which "looks" the most efficient (unless ala game mechanics it isn't).
FleischYT 20. mar. 2015 kl. 15:26
Sergio 20. mar. 2015 kl. 9:03
Great!
Thank you so much!
Frankenstein_The_OG_Bodybuilder 20. mar. 2015 kl. 7:57
@tUPAC
Roads Menu, it's on the last tab where u place the patterns (like roundabout)
Repo Slayer 20. mar. 2015 kl. 0:14
So how actually do you use this in the game? I can't find the button or menu for it
FazzClink 19. mar. 2015 kl. 14:02
Can you make a version downgraded, without the trees?
Fiet Vujagig 19. mar. 2015 kl. 12:22
VFG - D => viable functional grid - pattern D
CSD - cul-de-sac
Amfidiusz 18. mar. 2015 kl. 7:49
I've got the same problem as KerfuffleBubbles. Ground cracks here and there (far from the location of this grid), disappearing roads within the grid, invisible ramps floating there over it. Way too many issues. But I love the design, it works pretty well.
Dr. UnAliver 18. mar. 2015 kl. 7:02
This is aweseome, but I've run into a little problem with it. It seems if you put too many of these together the game will glitch out breaking up the ground, adding roads where they couldn't possibly be. It's happened to me twice forcing me to restart, it caused my last city to flood. Love the design and I love using it, but is there a way to fix this?
