I lost the way to code in this game a long time age when modding changed in this game.
This is a link to a new version of Heavy (weapons!)
Domyslny did some amazing work to add a more ingame TF2 version of this mod with updated code and many new animations and goodies!
Make sure to check it out!
Mini-Blow Dart Gun. You would craft this from 6 blow darfs and one rope. This would not stack but it would have durabity and it would deal 4x less demage than normal blow darf but per hit. It would shoot like minigun 2 arrows per second. It would loose durabity after 50 seconds of shooting at enemy. But it would be worth it.
I can help you out with the code and overall updating this mod so that it's not crashing and so on.
There are a lot of new facial expressions for characters as well as art for hands, etc. that would need to be added to make this mod up to speed with in-game animations.
Quality of the art could also be improved.
I will send you a friend request. I am not sure how exactly you created art for The Heavy - if you edited the textures or used a character template, but I can explain what changed if you want to get back into modding, or I could simply refresh the mod code-wise and you would take care of the art side of things.
Maybe we could even add a minigun for him and custom voice sounds if you're interested, and re-release this mod.
It's just how to make workshop items seems vastly different now compared to back then.
Because I could help you out.
I have everything in HD and I can make new expressions in a whiff.
Just don't know how to implement it now.
It just happens that DST updated a lot, so much that I couldn't keep up with how to make mods anymore for the game and how to fix things.
I didn't even know how to do face expressions with the new editor method people do now.
İs nice
This mod was written and made when there was different code, I'm more of a artsy type and I'm not really good with code.
I have no clue where to start if I have to make a Don't Starve Together mod which has the new features or fix the old code which doesn't seem to work anymore.
