One suggestion - would it be possible to have hats replace his usual hat when worn? They look a bit odd on top of the regular hat.

In any case, he's quite a well done character. The graphics look nice and fit well into the game, and I like how his elixir recipe gives a use for the otherwise fairly useless red mushrooms.

I notice the feature list doesn't mention he's also a bit faster than average.
